The owners of Rhino Motorcycles Alex Chiv and Robert Akop promised many customers including myself that they would deliver the bike I purchsed in March sometime in early April then switched it to sometime in May then once again switched it to sometime in July. Here it is August and I have no response from Rhino Motorcycles who no longer excepts calls from anyone and has turned all calls to an answering service. There are dealers that have been sitting on money since march and still have nothing. No Bikes, No Money, Nothing... I spoke to a dealer in Jacksonville names Blazin Motorsports and he has no idea when the bikes will come in and has called Rhino and they said to him that he should get a refund because there is no signs of bikes anytime soon.

So we customers are left mixed up in the middle of this all. I spoke with Blake in Daytona and he assures me everything will be okay and he is very helpful but even he says they didn't even tell him when the choppers will be in and recommends customers should wait it out. I stress to every potential customer wait before you sit on your money until the bikes are in a local dealership this waiting game is ludicris. Riding season is over. Summer will be over when I get these bikes. I was lied to and have nothing except a receipt saying I pre-ordered this bike. To be honest I am thinking lawsuit against Rhino for lying to there dealers and lying to there prospective customers. I can't wait no more. Beware the Rhino's might not be even in production. They might not be real and I think they are just a catchy gimick to steal your money and run.

Rhino MOtorcycles out of Business

Rhino Motorcycles are no longer made. Went to a local dealer who had a Rhino on the floor.  Was assured that there were a lot more in the dealers other location.  So I got a little interested and when going in to try to make a deal I was informed that the one one the floor was the last one left and that they would not be carrying that brand of motorcycle in the future because Rhino Motorcycles are no longer manufactured.  So I  can see your pain in buying a Rhino, If you are still waiting for delivery at this point in time it might be good to demand your money back, that is if you have made a down payment.  Should you want a Rhino even though the name is now Extinct, perhaps some dealer somewhere may have one left in stock.  If you are still waiting at this date, 2-12-10, then the dealer is not telling you about production cessation for the Rhino motorcycle.

Well, Rhino Motorcycles is out of business, no longer produced

01-14-2010---Rhino Cycles has been reported to me by a local motorcycle dealer to be out of business.  That's right the are not in production anymore.  The worst part for me is when I went in to the dealers I often visit and after looking at the Rhino Motorcycle for the year of 2009 I figured it could be a fun ride, I do  not buy large displacement motorcycles anymore, found out two left and no more to be had.

When I went in to see the dealer yesterday and was informed that the large stock that was claimed on had in another outlet of the same dealer would get me a good color choice.  When the salesman placed the call to the main dealership, he was informed that Rhino is out of business and that the stock of Rhinos had been sold at sacrifice prices Just to get rid of the stock they had left.  They have two Rhinos left, both Silver in Color.  If it were not for the good relationship that had been developed with this salesman over the year of 2009 I would have been told "we just have two silver Rhino's left, don't know when we will have more".  So the dealer owners would have liked to see me sold a Rhino "white Elephant" without informing me that the motorcycle was no longer being manufactured.

It was the honesty of the salesman that kept me from buying an extinct species of motorcycle.  I wanted a sharp looking small chopper, so the search for another model starts, but there is little hope of finding one that looks as good as the Rhino.  So I will most likely never own a chopper.

The salesman said that the motor in the Rhino is and "exact" copy of a Yamaha 250 Virago engine and that the Rhino that is left, should I buy it can be kept running as those parts are available.  However I have not been able to verify if the Rhino engine is in actuality an "exact" copy oh the Yamaha 250 Virago engine.

I liked the look of the Rhino and was sorry to see that to purchase one would be a very bad buy as the moment of purchase, one second after, the Rhino Motorcycle would have no value.

PROBLEM RESOLVED...

I am sorry that I have not commented on this for a while, but the conflict with Rhino Motorcycles is more than resolved.

I have gotten my bike, and since then I have gotten top notch service!

Alex Chiv of Rhino has been hands on with all my concerns and minor problems that stem from a new model bike.

He even reimbursed me out of his pocket for extra work I needed done when I had my bike prepped.

I honestley think Rhino has stepped in the right direction, and will be a really good company for many years.

Thank you Alex for proving me wrong.

My name is Chris. I have filed a ripoff report against Rhino as well.

Blake from Daytona that at one time was the PR man for Rhino has told me that he can no longer be the PR man, and Rhino needs to get themselves out of this mess.

He has not responded to my PM on the Alternative Cruisers forum (their is a section where we have all been talking about Rhino) And his email box is so full that they are being returned.

So after talking to Blake it is clear these bikes will be in his store this years biketoberfest. He said he will have limited quanity because Rhino needs to be able to warranty and supply all bikes initially. Well I am very informed about the situation. I have been very interested in these bikes and heard about them through alternative crusiers site. I am going to put a pre-order in with Blake for a black bike with silver flames because intitially that is all he will have in stock. I apologize for misleading everyone but I see a lot of people waiting for bikes and felt a connection. I apologize to Rhino Motorcycles because it isn't there fault they can not produce those bikes fast enough for the people like us. I also want to say sorry to Blake and Kevin for misleading them telling those guys I got a pre-order in with Rhino. I just can not wait to ride.

I am Blake over at Mega in Daytona. We spoke with Mr. Greg Daniels to resolve the matter. Apparently after speaking to a Rhino Rep he is just a very interested customer however he has yet to place a deposit for a bike. After speaking to him myself he admits to reading a forum and responded to the mix emotions found online and that he never left a deposit with rhino, mega, or blazin motorsports. He did come in to our Daytona location and is going to be purchasing a bike this biketoberfest. To anyone interested in this matter it is now resolved. The bikes will be incoming september. Please contact Rhino for any other information.

Situation Resolved Maybe OR NOT

So I still haven't heard word from Rhino but it seems from what information Blake passed along to me that the bike will be in my garage sometime in October. I still am angry because the bike should of been in my garage sometime in April. Blake told me the reson they aren't producing as many units is because they want to be able to warranty each bike and stock parts for each bike sold. Hopefully the company will stick around long enough so if I do need a part I can get one. From what Blake has told me they are bringing in about 120 bikes a week starting in mid september.

why didn't they advertise pre-order your bike now it will be here sometime in october?

Why did they stop answering phone calls and gave all calls to an answering service?

Will I have to order parts through an answering service if something goes wrong?

I think Rhino needs to come out and speak up a little bit. Kevin or Blake don't have all the answers after multiple calls I think I need to hear from Rhino.
