Complaint Review: Rhonda Tersigni

 Rhonda Tersigni is a spiteful, vindictive and unprofessional SLUM-LORD! Prior to moving in, she will sell you a dream along with your deposit and first month's rent. We were told that she would come fix everything, but that never happened. Within our first month there, we had a gas leak, pipes leaking and things just falling apart. We called and called but had never gotten a response until it was rent time. Due to the gas leak we had to have the gas turned off. Rhonda's solution? "I'll just come re-light the pilot." Her exact words! Unbelievable. She brought over two small space heaters until her HVAC person would come fix it but it was well over 2 weeks with no heat. Mind you, this is the middle of November and I have 2 small children (2 and 3 years old at the time). At this point its December and we still don't have any heat. We haven't heard from Rhonda until rent was due. We informed her that her rent had been placed in an escrow account. Shortly after, the HVAC guy, not even a professional, came and replaced a couple valves and she fixed the leaking pipes.

A couple months later the pipes burst completely. Rhonda only tightened them up and now they just had a slow leak. The sink in the bathroom drips and she refuses to fix that because "she doesn't see any water dripping" however my box of sanitary napkins were completely wet and the box fell apart when I grabbed it. The kitchen then started to get a nasty smell. After calling someone out to determine the smell from under the sink we found out it's mold! Rhonda's response? "I'll paint over it and it will kill it." It's still there along with the foul smell and leaking pipes. Needless to say, we've had enough! The beginning of June, Rhonda showed up to the house and claimed we never paid the water bill. I called the water company in April and paid the balance in full. We told her we had and she said OK and left. She called me a couple weeks later saying we owe over $250 in water bills, I informed her I called back in April and paid in full so she needed to figure it out. She argued for a couple moments until I told her I won't pay anything I don't owe. After hanging up with her I called the water company myself and was told that she was on a payment plan and she missed two months and my balance was paid in full, of course. She tried to get us to pay the previous tenants balance!

We're fed up, we told her at the beginning of July (2016) that she had 30 days to fix everything and we're withholding her rent until it's finished. In retaliation, she then gave us a 3 day notice to leave (which is illegal) and now we're facing having an eviction put on our records for her being spiteful and lazy! DO NOT rent anything from Rhonda Tersigni!! It's a big headache!
