Rice Contrating, Rice Remodeling, Bryant Construction, Jennifer Hayes, Annette & Jason Rice Botched workmanship and unethical business practices, refused to pay his subcontractors Conover North Carolina
Michael Rice, Jennifer Hayes, Annette Rice and Jason Rice are a family. They have operated under the names Busy Beaver Construction, Michael Rice Remodeling, Rice Contracting and Bryant Construction. Michael signed a contract for $30k and reported a lesser amount to the county. This is illegal. He took our money, delayed our small 2 room addition over and over saying he had to finish a 'big job' in Asheville, NC then he blamed a sick mother for the delay. He didn't pay a subcontractor. This subcontractor came to us demanding payment or a lien would be placed on our home.
Shortly after, we fired Michael and his company for the continued lack of effort to complete the work. We asked for a refund of the money we had given him and the release of liens from the other subcontractors he used. He has refused to respond.
