Richard Haynes ripoff bounced check Pinebluff North Carolina
Customer placed an order by phone on 12/29/03. Product ordered was one vinyl record box set for $200.00 plus shipping of $7.95. Order was shipped the same day. Customer wrote a personal check and it bounced.
The Customer has the product without making payment. His phone number has recently changed to 910-281-5488.
Notified today that he has done this with another business and to not accept any orders from him.

I worked as a Corporate Collector for 25 years.What you first need to do is send the person in question a letter certified so you have documentation you tried to contact him. Second, go into your local police department & request a bad check package. Fill it out attach the copy of the certified letter & return recp. with it than give it to the police department. They will take it from there. This is a felony in most state if the amount is over $100.00 and they can prove the person wrote the check knowing he wasn't going to pay. He can serve jail time. Also if you still have the check and he hasn't closed his account you can go to the bank and put a freeze on the amount he owes you. I have done that up to 1 year after I rec'd a bad check. I know it's a lot of work but you could probably get your money back. Good luck
