Richard Thornton Threatening to use rip off report to extort money from me.
Here is the message that I received threatening to ruin my business. You received a new message from your online store's contact form.
Name: Richard Thornton
Email: richardthornton99@hotmail.com
Body: Hello, Straight to the point. Your competitor is paying me $150 for writing negative reviews about your webshop on Ripoffreport and several social media platforms (Youtube, FB, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram and Quora) which will rank high on Google.
I will also create 50k spam backlinks fo your website with GSA SER & ScrapeBox (I have over 2.5 million GSA verified link list and I have over 7 million blog list for ScrapeBox, and within days your website will be penalised by Google)This will take your site to a whole new level. (down to earth) I have a list of 45 websites who will be listed in Google with negative reviews with ripoffreport, reddit posts and twitter complaints.
You are one of them. Pay me $200 to prevent this. You can pay with Bitcoin. (if you don't know how to buy this, search "how to buy bitcoin" in Google) BTC Address: 19VMajwzeHAqJLKUYsteYT2xZP6vwKTSA2 (This is cAsE sensitive, so copy and paste it) Important: You have 24 hours in order to make the payment.
If I don’t receive the payment after 24 hours have passed, I will post it regardless. Nonetheless, if I do get paid within that period I will cancel everything. I have no issues if you don't pay me, I would be getting my 150 dollar anyways. Choose wisely.

Almost certain the name and maybe even email are faked, and the email untraceable if real.
What you ought to likely do to protect yourself at least a little is contact whatever fraud or security apparatus Google (hopefully) makes available, to get that email in their hands, just in case your website is duly attacked in such a manner.
Maybe law enforcement on some level, local, state or fed can do something with the Bitcoin account info, but probably not. Still, I'd try to make some law agency at least take the info from you.
