I ordered a product for $15.40 from this company and paid via PayPal and receive a confirmation from the company. 11 days later I receive a subsequent email telling me that they were placing my order "on hold" until they could get the money from PayPal.

I contacted the head of the company, Joe Richey, and asked for my money back. He refused. Soon after, the company announced that it would no longer deal with PayPal, which means that my order is "on hold" indefinitely and I am out $15.40.

I have also had the experience of placing and order with this company and having it ignored until I sent an email inquiring about it. One time Mr. Richey told me to place my order a second time! I, of course, refused and made him process the first order. I received the first part of my order rather quickly, but the other part took weeks to arrive.

Money not Refunded

Mr. Richey has yet to refund the money I sent him using PayPal. This was BEFORE he annouced that he was no longer taking PayPal. SwapSellTrade is a corrupt business which treats its customers like dirt. Read all the other reports people have filed about this business. Unless you have money to burn, stay away from Joe Richey.

Money refunded and still sad

We refunded your money simply to keep you happy as you expressed disatisfaction with our firm on this forum and its my companies policy if you disatisfied and wish to make issues then we simply refund and refuse to do further business as we have 1000s of happy customers and we need to focus on serving their needs rather then bantering back and forth on one small order. Your money has been refunded because I choose not to do further business with you :)

Below is an email I received from Joe Richey today (12-1-02)

"My name is Joe Richey owner of SwapSellTrade.Com and I was just packing your order when I read your comments on Ripoffreport. I am sorry for any issues but to prevent any further I have just refunded your card and will respectfully to decline to do further business with you as I have been nothing but honest and open with you but your attack of my firm I feel is unjustified so therefore its my companies best interest to not deal with you further on a business relationship."


I placed this particular order on 11-20-02, and almost two weeks later he is just getting around to packing it. That is quite pitiful.
It is very unfortunate that he considers my comments "unjustified" when I was only being "open and honest," something he claims to be.
