Complaint Review: Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal

Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal AKA Rip Va; RIP of Virginia, Hobby & fun Paranormal Investigative Group, Ghosts, Spirits. Immature, releases confidential information, non-trust worthy, laughs at clients! Richmond, Virginia

This group are immature and only into paranormal investigations as a hobby & for the fun of it. Although they may dress the part or to impress, it is all a great act for their entertainment. They have broken client confidentiality. Private locations they have investigated have been shared & discussed outside the group. They have no respect for the living nor the dead. After performing an investigation, they will laugh about the client and call them names such as 'psycho', 'weirdo'. They 'bash' the dead by yelling obscenities.  They are known to trespass onto locations after hours, and have even broken into buildings; breaking locks, windows, etc.

They lie to clients & inform them that they will return with evidence. They set up dates to return, then don't show. Any evidense they may claim to be real are usually just somebody whispering or are noises they claim to be something odd.
The website and phone number that is posted is operated by an immature 22 year old. He listens to the recordings, then contacts his friends turning the situations into a joke. Some of the calls he may return but only to gain access for the groups entertainment.

It highly is inadvisable to contact this group if there is a confidential concern of any kind. They frequent Henricus Park, and hold unorganized meetings for question & answers pretending to be professionals. They really have the employees at this location fooled.

RIP is the Wrong Group the Author is Referencing

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, January 19, 2012

The Big Problem with this Ripoff Report is that the Author has Referenced the wrong Paranormal Group by name and by entity.

The reference made by this author is in some ways understandable due to a confusing circumstance, however, we wished he would have researched and/or referenced the correct group he was reporting properly. Which is ... "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal of Virginia"

"Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal of Virginia" = "RIP of Va" was formed on or about May of 2011.

"Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal of Virginia" started calling themselves by the same name of Our Group "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" conveniently leaving off "of Virginia, however, this was quickly remedied through the owners/leaders of said groups after this fact was discovered upon discovering their misleading website and phone calls.

We, the real and original "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" = "RIP" was formed many years ago, and is an LLC.

"RIP" has performed many "Paranormal Investigations" and has never received one complaint from any client, the public or any business entity what-so-ever!

As a matter of fact we have only received praise for our honesty and professionalism from day one!

"RIP" has been featured in Richmond, Va. on TV 6, TV 8, The Richmond Times Dispatch, Many Local Newspapers, "NPR" picked "RIP" out of all the "Paranormal Groups" in the country to use their knowledge of the paranormal and the use of modern technology during Paranormal Investigations, "Style Weekly" a popular local paper placed the Leaders of "RIP", Ray Rucker "Big Ray" & Ken Ballos "KB" on Their 2011 Halloween Cover Page and did a 5 page article about an investigation they attended with the "RIP Team" at the "Weston Plantation" located Hopewell, Va. in October 2011.

"Style Weekly" also referenced the look-a-team "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal of Virginia" in that same article which may have also unfortunately added to the confusion of the later named group as being a part of "RIP" or "the "Real Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal"

The group this author is really referencing is in this complaint in all actually using the name:

"Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal of Viriginia"

Our Team The "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" has never investigated nor been on the Henricus Property located in Chesterfield Co in any way shape or form. We were contacted by Henricus to do a possible investigation there approximately 2 years ago, but was never done.

Once we learned that a "Paranormal Investigation" was done on the property by someone using the name "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" (which is a copyright infringement) had been performed on the property and was holding meetings there, we contacted them and set the record straight.

That "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" was not the group that they had done their investigation, nor were we holding meetings on their property. That another group using a very similar name "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal of Virginia" was the group they had on their property not "The Originial, One & Only Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal"

"Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" / "RIP" never discloses client info, addresses, etc without client approval. We are made up of Professional Nurses, Police Officers, and professionals from other fields. We never reference clients by any derogitory names in any other disrespectful manner. Anyone on the team who would do so would be automatically discharged on the spot!

"Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" = "RIP" never curses or in any other way disrespects the deceased or living. Not just because of protocol, but because it is the respectful and right thing to do.

The leaders of "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" = "RIP" are above the age of 50.

We never doctor any evidence! If you would like to see bonifide evidence starting in 2001 you may visit our website to do so ... www.RichmondInvestigatorsoftheparamormal.com

"Big Ray & KB" of "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" also Co-host "Ghost Raps", "The Only Drive Time Paranormal Talk Show in the Universe" on WLEE News Talk 990 AM in Richmond, Va. The show is also streamed worldwide via the internet @: www.wlee990.am

We, "Big Ray & KB" our show "Ghost Raps" discusses our investigations, many paranormal topics and have featured such guests as: L.B. Taylor, Jr. "The Ghost Writer", Jim Krut of "Dawn of the Dead" & "Deadlands 2: Trapped", Bruce Tango of "TAPS", Mark Anthony "The Psychic Attorney" and Author of "Never Letting Go", Author of "Bloodstains The Book" Jeff Mudgett. We have also been featured on many other shows such as "Dennis Miller Live", "The Jimmy Barrett Show" and many others from around the world!

It is said that "Being copied is the best form of flattery"

This can be true, that is unless those who want to be like you falls short and then can damage your good name and reputation in the community.

Which has been done here!

Legal action at this time against the author of this complaint for "Slander" is not being considered due to the confusion by someone else using a name similar to ours. But our decision may move forward should the author "Further try to, or "Knowly attempt to defame our good name ... Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" = "RIP" from any time after the posting of this rebuttal.

By the writer's description of the facts as he has presented them here, we do not believe he knowly at the time of this complaint knew he had the wrong facts as it pretains to our name "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" and/or he represented the "RIP"  incorrectly in this unfortunate and misleading posting.

As for the rest of the information he included in this complaint we have no knowledge of, nor can we attest to the facts of that information. Other than, we know for certain that the group he was referencing "RIP of Va" was at Henricus" in 2011.

Therefore, you may visit our website The Real "Richmond Investigators of the Paranormal" @ www.RichmondInvestigatorsoftheParanormal.com and email and/or get our phone number to call us.

We will be glad to discuss this unfortunate confusion of names and entities with you.

"RIP"  not  "RIP of Va"

This update is to correct the wording to the actual report. The majority of the group does act in a responsible manner when at a location and has not done anything unlawful.

Although this report is factual; it is only the person pictured that is solely at fault for all irresponsible actions mentioned.

The address given is not a current address for this group. There is no set location for it. Also, this group will no longer be using this name. No update to be posted.

Why in the world are you contacting someone to investigate paranormal anything?

Here's a FREE investigation report that covers all paranormal experiences.

It doesn't exist.  It's as simple as that and the information is 100% reliable.  I'll repeat it just for clarity "Paranormal phenomena of ANY sort simply does not exist".

Until or unless someone can prove it exists under controlled condition, forget it.
