Complaint Review: Rickenbacker Group

I was applying for a student loan and ran my credit report when I found the Rickenbacker Group on it. When I called they explained it was for the towing of a car I had not seen since 1999!!!!! I had transferred this car to my father and filed the paperwork. Shortly after it broke down and was towed. He told the tow agency to keep the car it wasn't worth fixing and they sold it. Now in 2005 they have towed the car again. No one tried to contact me they just reported it and it ruined my chance to go back to school.

Now that I have talked to the DMV and have proof that I did not own the car they will not accept it. They claim they need a hard copy from the time it was transferred back in 1999.

Look them up on Google and you will find they ran this scam in San Francisco and were forced to refund over 300,000. to the people they stole it from.

These people are crooks and should be shut down.
