Today 12/12/08 I went to walmart to purchase a moneygram as asked by Ricky Norton of 10 Newbury Street, Danvers, MA 01923. I agreed to purchase a teacup size yorkie for $400 and was to be shipped via Delta soon after receipt of payment. I received my confirmation number and sent to Ricky, which we've had many text and voice conversations which I kept. After I left work to head to the Philadelphia airport to pick up the precious 1.5 lb. pup for my daughter as a christmas gift, I received a text from Ricky stating he needed $150 more because he forgot they charged a fee of 150 for a Live Animal Transportation Fee. I stressed to him that we had an agreement and I was paying nothing extra and demanded a refund. I have yet to hear from him nor been able to locate his whereabouts. Would walmart moneygram be able to track the facility where he picked up the money and possible have an ID or video of the person alleging to be Ricky Norton? I am demanding to him via text and VM that he refund or I am pressing legal action. This again, as for many, is most possibly and positivily, a scam and right bfore Christmas which in theses economic times, the normal person cannot afford to loose $400 PLUS $22.92 for the moneygram. I am asking for help from anyone and everyone who can direct me with this horrific situation. I am not only out a special specific Christmas present but $422.92 which will now double to make up for what I was suppose to get for my daughter. I will accept phone calls o my cell 856-340-8202 if anyone has been through this and can guarantee me getting my money back. Oh forgot, Ricky Norton's "cell" number is 646-417-2683
I found out from Moneygram that he received my $400 from a popcorn market in Worcester, ma. Hopefully they will be able to provide a photo so I can pursue this tragedy

THIS IS A VARIATION ON THE CLASSIC NIGERIAN PET ADOPTION SCAM

ONLY THIS SOUNDS LIKE THIS NIGERIAN WAS LIVING IN THE USA AND HAD A FAKE ID.

DID YOU CALL THE PHONE AND SEE WHO ANSWERED?

DID HE HAVE AN ACCENT?

NEVER SEND MONEY FOR A PUPPY YOU HAVE NOT SEEN WITH YOUR OWN EYES!

ALWAYS INSIST ON SEEING THE PUPPY --AND WHERE IT WAS BORN AND THE PARENTS IF YOU CAN.

YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN A LOT BETTER OFF IF YOU HAD SELECTED A LOVING PET FROM YOUR LOCAL HUMAN SOCIETY --YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN SURE THAT IT EXISTED, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN CHEAPER, YOU WOULD HAVE SAVED A PRECIOUS LIFE.

OLDER DOGS ARE GREAT PETS TOO.

THE NIGERIAN PET SCAM WORKS EXACTLY AS YOU DESCRIBED. YOU WILL NEVER GET THE PUPPY BECAUSE IT DOES NOT EXIST. IT NEVER DID.

WE HAVE A LOT OF NIGERIANS HERE IN THE US. I HAVE SEEN THEM WRITING THESE SCAM E-MAILS FROM SCHOOLS, PUBLIC LIBRARIES AND ANYWHERE THERE IS A COMPUTER.

I HOPE YOU WILL TAKE WHAT I SAID UNDER ADVISEMENT BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF VERY REAL LITTLE DOGS WHO WILL BE PUT TO DEATH BECAUSE NOBODY WILL GIVE THEM A HOME.

GET ONE OF THEM OR MAYBE TWO OF THEM OUT OF THE SHELTERS.

THEY WILL BE VERY GRATEFUL.

If the money was picked up in the USA you might be able to try to push for legal action against Ricky Norton. To pick up a MoneyGram he would have had to show an ID, normally the drivers license. Funny thing if the ID isn't fake that might be his real address. Have you looked into the address and phone number. I don't believe Wal-mart would be able to find the person though. May I ask though where you found this person?

Please though never buy animals for websites. Many are fake and others are often known as puppy mills. Puppy mills ship out very very sick dirty animals that are often kept in small cages with other animals. The cages are also stacked to save space, needless to say they don't bother cleaning cages or giving puppies shots. Beware!
