Ridgeway Homes ripoff kept deposit on modular home no signed contract Ridgeway Virginia
I made a $5000 deposit to Ridgeway Homes, Inc. on December 20, 2005 to hold a house for me. This deposit was contingent on a lot I needed right next to mine in Burlington, NC.
At the last minute, December 21, 2005, I was told by the person in charge of the lot that a lien was on the lot. I called Doug, the sellsman on December 21, 2005 to let him know.
I changed my mind about the purchase of a home with Ridgeway Homes, Inc. I also told him I would be purchasing a home from Clayton Homes later in Burlington, NC.
I called Doug several times about my deposit. He finally told me that Thomas A. Pedersen is the owner. I contacted Mr. Pedersen.
He promised me several times to send my deposit. As of today, I have not received my $5000 deposit. I did not sign a contract with them, but I do have a receipt and a copy of the cancelled check.
