Today is the first time I have ever heard of Ridley Telephone Company. I was asked at my job about a "long distance" phone call that I might have made 3 years ago. First of all, I can't make long distance phone calls without going through our switchboard. Secondly, I have home phone service that I have been perfectly satisfied with. I have an unlisted number to protect my privacy. Nor do I give out my work number. I don't like to take or make personal phone calls from work. In the event that I have to take emergency calls, I've always made sure to request that I can make or accept long distance calls when circumstances require it. So I was surprised, to say the least, to learn that my place of business has been paying for a long distance service - to the tune of $15/month (approximately) for at least the past 3 years with my name attached to the account. I am infuriated. I began doing research about Ridley Telephone Company. Who are they? They seem to be attached to a company called USBI and Talee. And, how did they get my name? I have contacted PUCO. I will keep working with my employer to get this straightened out. Anything else I can do?
