Run away, run away, run away!!! This is certainly a scam. My mom just got duped out of $1000.!Unknown to her, they've been taking it out in $500 installments over the afternoon. A "you've been hacked" type of message popped up on her computer and directed her to call the help desk support number. The guy she talkled to called himself James Anderson, then gave her an Indian name (his "real" name, he said????) to look up on Facebook--he then tried to friend her on FB and said he wants to drive from NJ to SC to meet her. She was creeped out but is older and didn't recognize this immediately as a scam. He took remote access of her computer then told her to stay off of it for three hours so that he could fix it. They tried to debit her account more, and they still have remote access to her info. They've corrupted her data, and we're going to have to take the computer to another service center to take out all the malware they put on. I'm trying to get the charges reversed.
