I have been without an air-conditioner since April 2012 and a dishwasher since June 2012. I have made a concerted effort to work with Right Realty to get these issues resolved. I have called to get the air conditioner repaired since April and the air conditioner still doesn't work.

Let me elaborate. Since June, my two year old son and I have had to sleep on the living room floor, it is now September, were still sleeping on the living room floor. Due to the excessive heat, it is unbearable to sleep upstairs in our own beds and in our own rooms. I have called 22 times since May 30th to have the air conditioner repaired and as you may already know, this summer has been generous in giving excessive weather conditions. The temperatures have been in the high 90's to 110 degrees. The rental property is a two-story brick apartment and the upstairs is always warmer or hotter than downstairs. My step-father came over with a temperature gage and measured the heat downstairs at 110 degrees - 112 degrees. I would have to send my son over to my mothers' during the day while I worked in the heat from 9am-5pm.

On last call on August 8th, 2012, I was told that if my air conditioner and dishwasher has been an
issue, that I should notify Right Reality of the issues. However, when should the line be drawn that me calling is getting a little bit obsessive in regards to the issue of my air conditioner and dishwasher being down. I have refused to pay the full amount of rent because my living conditions have been short of what I pay for.

The dishwasher was just successfully replaced on August 29th, 2012 at 11am. I had to wait 2 months for the issue to be resolved. Also, due to the air conditioner being out of service, June 28th through July 20th, 2012, I had to live at my parents house because the heat was too much to bear
for me and my two year old child. Ive asked on July 2nd, 2012 if I could have the owners number to call and discuss if I could work something out about getting my rent reduced or work out an alternative resolution because I was missing work (I work from home) and I was unable to stay in my home.

I was fed up about the air conditioner situation, that I called Chuck from Mountaineer Mechanical (my step-father referred me to him) to resolve the issues with my air conditioner on Saturday, July 7th, 2012 at 2:44pm. On Monday, July 9th, 2012 at 7:51am, Chuck gave me a call back and was willing and ready to check out the air conditioner and give Right Realty an estimate on the cost to fix it. Now, mind you, it was in late May or early June that I had last seen the men that Right Realty sends out to repair the air conditioner. In July, I was being told that it was hard to book the men
Right Realty sends out because they were so busy and I was also told that Right Realty has tried to call everyone they could to get the air conditioner fixed.

Chuck from Mountaineer Mechanical gives Right Reality an estimate shortly after his visit and at 11:44am, the men that Right Reality sends out to work on the air conditioner finally shows up. They actually gave me a call at 11:44am from the phone number 304-481-6196.

I call Chuck back at 11:57am, July 9th, 2012 to tell him that themen that Right Reality sends out have finally shown up are finally here after not seeing them for months. I guess the estimate was a little too expensive and that was enough to get the men who usually come out to actually make an attempt to come out.

The men that Right Reality sends out, tell me that a wire shorted out and they needed to replace it by stringing up a new wire through the ceiling on July 9th, 2012. On July 12th or 17th, the air conditioning repairmen that Right Reality sends out show up to work on the air conditioner. They proceed to tell me some completely different as that the outside unit now needs to be replaced. I havent seen them since July and I havent paid the full amount of rent since. Its now SEPTEMBER 1st and I still dont have a working air conditioner.

I have kept accurate records of whats been going on. I have every time Ive called about the issues on my phone and I can access my phone records online and print them off showing every time Ive called Right Realty. I have stopped calling because theres no point in trying to get the issue resolved. I am especially disturbed at the fact that the last time I called, I was told that I havent let the issue be known that Ive been having troubles with my air conditioning and dishwasher, especially the air conditioning.

My stepfather is an electrician and has worked with air conditioners. He said that more than likely, that if the men who worked on the air conditioner did enough damage as he thinks they have to it, that I will also have an issue with heating this winter. That is an issue I cant afford to live with, especially with a toddler with a fragile body.

I'm most likely going to have to face an eviction since I've refused to pay rent. However, I have refused to pay rent due to the extreme circumstances of living in an extremely hot house. I pay $600 every month for the rental unit. I only want what I pay for and I refuse to pay for anything less.
