On Monday October 5th I was quoted a purchase price of $34,833
On Tuesday October 6th (the following day) Toyota Corporation released their $1,000 Cash Back Incentive on the 2010 Tundra at which time I confirmed with both Joe Mallo and Jerry Sees at Right Toyota that I could take advantage of this cash back incentive.

On Saturday October 10th I arrived to pick up my new truck and immediately noticed that the purchase agreement looked off. In fact the purchase price was listed at MSRP rather than the quoted price of $34,833. This should have been my first indication that something shady was going down. I immediately mentioned the discrepancy with Brad Pringle the Finance Manager and he informed me that he would correct the price to the originally quoted $34,833. Later that evening when I got home I noticed that the price on my purchase agreement was still off by $1,000, set at $35,833 instead of $34,833. I immediately contacted Mr. Pringle, Jerry Sees and Joe Mallo.

**This is when the run-around started For the following week and a half I attempted to correct this to no avail. If and when I could get through to talk to one of the aforementioned employees at Right Toyota I got the complete runaround. Call back tomorrow at 10am and we will straighten this out; I cant change the price but Jerry can, hes not in today; I will have to get approval from my GM and hes out today, Ill have him call you tomorrow The best was when I would call and they would act as if they had no clue what I was talking about or what my problem was. I was asked to forward any emails I had with the quoted price etc. which I did and never got a response

On October 21st I received a voicemail from Jerry Sees stating that his General Manager, Zach Ivanhoe, was not going to do anything about this, it was a done deal and at the bank already. Hmm, I called the day after I left Right Toyota and some how this never got addressed with the GM until the 21st? 11 days after?? Is it my fault that this was already at the bank?

Bottom line, Right Toyota pocketed the $1,000 cash incentive from Toyota Corporate that should have been passed down to the customer.

To add to this, I was finally contacted by the General Manager at Right Toyota today, William Fakaury, at which time he informed me that the additional $1,000 was from charges that I was not aware of that include a $705 transportation fee and a $295 window tinting that should have been free based on the email below from my Sales Person at Right Toyota (Joe Mallo).  Interesting how these additional fees ironically add up to $1,000.

Dacian,
I understand.  When it's all said and done go with the truck you want.  1000 gets waisted doing anything.  Get the truck you want.  Remember this truck is exactly equiped the way you want.  Everytime I get something that is cheaper in price I always regret that I didn't get what I want.  What if I through window tint in for free??

On December 16, 2009 I received a call from Jerry Sees at Right Toyota informing me that the dealership would like to correct their mistake and issue me a check for the $1,000 discrepancy. Obviously I am very pleased with this out come and happy to see that Right Toyota does in fact listen to their customers and make all attempts to provide the best customer service they can. Thank you Right Toyota for correcting this issue rather than sweeping it under the carpet. I will once again recommend other potential customers to purchase from Right Toyota as I found the rest of my experience (beyond this issue) to be professional and pleasant. Not to mention the effort made by Jerry Sees, Joe Mallo and Brad Pringle to correct this issue. Much appreciated!

IMAGINE HOW ALL THE TOYOTA CUSTOMERS WHO WERE LIED TO ABOUT THE....

SPECIAL 2.9% FINANCING THROUGH TMCC (Toyota Motor Credit Corporation) WOULD FEEL IF THEY KNEW THAT THEY DID QUALIFY FOR THAT 2.9% RATE, BUT WERE TOLD THAT THEY DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR IT BACK IN EARLY 2004 WHEN TOYOTA WAS RUNNING THAT SPECIAL PROGRAM ON COROLLAS, huh?

In early 2004, Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, along with Toyota, was advertising 2.9% interest rate for 60 months on Corollas on National TV. That comes out to be $17.92 for every $1,000 financed. That's a good interest rate. But many Toyota customers were told that they DIDN'T QUALIFY for that low rate, when in fact they DID QUALIFY!

Just think, many of those Corolla customers are now coming to the end of their loans and they could have saved a lot of money in interest payments had the Toyota dealer not LIED to them, correct? Paying 2.9% over 60 months for a $15,000 loan, as an example, comes out to be $268.80 per month, right? Simply multiply 15 x $17.92 and you should get $268.80 per month. That's an affordable payment, isn't it?

If you go to a payment calculator you can verify that figure. Simply use 60 months, 2.9%, and $15,000 as your figures. Then see what the difference is in payment if you use 7.9% or 8.9%.

*In short, most Toyota dealers, along with Toyota Corporation, believe in LYING, DECEIVING, MANIPULATING, & TRICKING as many innocent customers as possible.

P.S. 'Google' this- AUTO DEALER LOUIS F HARRELSON TO PLEAD GUILTY, and read that article. Then 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, and watch that video.

Thank You.

WELCOME TO TOYOTA- IN TRICKERY & DECEPTION WE TRUST

In your excitment you signed, you should have sat there an hour or waited until the next morning when the loan papers reflected the -$1000.

Transportation fee is normal for a new vehicle.  $295 for window tint, did you order that?  Is is factory tint?
