After finding Rimstop.com on the internet as a supplier of Dayton wire wheels, I submitted an enquiry by email. An auto response was returned suggesting I call for prices.

After making numerous international toll calls to Sonny Jimenez, followed by confirming emails I was told the wheels would be $1300 including shipping to CA. to be paid by wire transfer.

After further toll calls I was finally told my wire transfer was recieved in the rimstop account by another employee.

Finally after 3 weeks of unanswered toll calls on hold and emails I got confirmation that a set of wheels had been sent to my freight agent in CA.

After requesting my freight agent inspect the wheels delivered as no packing slip or invoice was attached, they found the wheels were not Dayton brand.

I rang Rimstop and spoke to Valley, who told me they sent Player brand, worth less than half what I had paid for. They offered to send a set of tires to compensate but after 2 more weeks of unanswered phone calls and emails nothing has been delivered to my freight agent and refund refused.

Valley, Sonny, and Mike Gutierrez have all made excuses as to why the wrong wheels were sent, but after reading other reports on this site and speaking to Dayton directly it is obvious they have just ripped me off.

Goods received different to brand Rimstop advised

On the 19th November 04 I collected the wheels that Rimstop supplied from my freight forwarding agent in Sydney, Australia.

I found that the brand stamps on all the outside layer of the corrugated cardboard boxes with wheels had been cut off . There were no labels specifying what brand the wheels were on any packaging. After opening the boxes I found they had Ying Da Huang stamped on the inside of the rim. I found the wheel company website at yingdahuang.com and asked for the US distributor details. After contacting the distributor in California I was advised that the wheels have a retail price of $40 each.

I am extremely unhappy to find that I paid $1300 for a set of $160 wheels to be sent to california by Rimstop.

Also, the fact that numerous staff at Rimstop lied to me about the brand of the wheels, twice. The wheels were not Dayton and also not Player.
This is an obvious attempt to deceive me as the packaging had all been tampered with to hide the true brand of the wheels.

I have now been in contact with a Texas lawyer and have started legal proceedings against Rimstop.
