RingCentral.com false advertising, free trial, trial, free San Mateo, California
I signed up for a 30 day, supposedly free RingCentral 500-page fax service, but then they charged me $9.99 immediately after activating. This was after spending dozens of minutes with their tech support service because their phone number verification service doesn't accept VoIP or digital telephone numbers. I called their tech support, and the rude sales rep kept trying to pressure me into buying an extra 500 minutes, not pages. After trying to "explain" this to me a few more times, I told him I wanted to cancel the account, to which he responded that no company does 500 page free fax trials, so he just put me on hold indefinitely. I am in the process of contacting my credit card company and having them issue me a new card and reverse the fraudulent charge.
