Rios Interiors adds unexpected and not agreed delivery charges right before delivery Dallas Texas

On March 11th 2006 I purchased a dining set (1 dining table, 4 dining chairs and 1 bench) and 2 bookshelves from Rios Interiors. As part of the purchase agreement, a 10% discount was given on the dining set and delivery of the items was included in the price ($4,500) of the order.

The dining set was delivered on April, 11th 2006 and Rios Interiors took care of the delivery charges as agreed. The bookshelves were not ready for delivery yet, since they were a custom order.

On May 15th, 2006 Rios Interiors contacted us and let us know that the bookshelves were ready and asked $300.00 for the delivery. We reminded Rios Interiors of the agreement that the delivery was included. Rios Interiors was not willing to respect the agreement and told us to come by and get the bookshelves. Rios Interiors representative also hang up the phone on us twice.

Even though we have been clients of Rios Interiors for the last 2 years, having made purchases of over $8,000, they are not honoring the agreement made in where the delivery was included (as it was in the dining set, part of the same contract) and wants to charge $300.00 for the service.
