Ripfactory - Patrick McGrath Non-delivery of products, Promised refund never delivered ripoff Belfast County Antrim
Ordered a ripstation dual drive system after a few phone conversations and emails back and forth between me and the owner Patrick McGrath in late January 2007. The delivery was promised within two weeks. The order was placed and confirmed by the 23rd of January 2007.
The money was wired to their account. One months later after several angry phone calls and emails I was promised the unit with the week. They claimed delivery problems from the US, change of supplier, extra testing etc.
This continued for some time until I demanded a refund on the 22nd of March almost exactly two months after payment.
Then back to the same old routine of me calling and emailing and him never getting back to me except on one or two occasions. When he finally did get back to me he stated he had tried calling me and emailing me but that the emails or phone calls didn't get through. That was of course lies. I rely on my phone and emails to do my business as I travel 200+ days per year. No problems so far.
Anyhow now on the 22 of May 2007 I have gotten my solicitors involved and will be suing ripfactory to recover the funds. As the amount is above 2000GBP I can avoid small claims court which is good as legal costs can be recovered more easily. However the money isn't an issue for me, it's the fact that I think it's about time this liar is taken to court before he attempts to defraud anyone else.
Will update this site with future developments as they occur.

Cased Solved. Goods Delivered
#2Author of original report
Mon, September 24, 2007
Hello,
I was the one that filed the report. The company has now, thanks to a third party, finally delivered the goods promised. Also adequate compensation for the problems has been given. All goods delivered and working fine. The goods in question are top notch to bad the service and customer care were so poor to begin with. Now however it seems they have sorted their problems and are back on track business wise.
