RIPPED OFF BY CROSS COUNTRY BANK
Cross Country Bank is taking me to the cleaners! Early in 2000 I got behind in my payments. In August 2000, I made arrangements, per Cross Country Bank, to pay 3 lump sum payments of $100 each. I agreed and paid the payments, with the understanding from their customer service department that after these 3 payments were made, they would waive some of the over-limit fees and late fees that had accumulated. Well, to my surprise, the phone calls resumed. I told the person calling me what I had been told about the accumulated fees dropping off. I was then told that that was not possible and was not going to happen. I was deceived! In the meantime, an additional $700 in late fees and over-limit fees have accumulated, and I get at least 4 calls a day from Cross Country Bank. I have explained my story about the payment arrangement at least 25 times! HELP! What can I do about this?
