Complaint Review: Superior Waterbeds

Ripped off by Superior Waterbeds in Houston Texas did not deliver services and merchandise promised in the sale

On 12/4/01, I purchased 2 waterbeds from Superior waterbeds. On one of the waterbeds, titled, starlight bed complete, I was promised a complete waterbed with headboard lights , underneath drawers and padded side rails.
I was also charged for and promised complete set up at time of delivery.
Not only were the waterbeds not filled with water and the chemicals added as promised, the starlight bed complete did not have lights, ANY side rails ( just bare board with splinters ). It was also missing underneath drawers.
I have tried to resolve this with Superior waterbeds and even gone to a mediation session with the BBB Houston.
Instead of resolving this issue, I have been treated rudely by the management and told they wanted more money if I was to get what I was originally promised.

The person in the report above has gone through the proper channels for a customer who has truly been RIPPED OFF; unfortunately after thorough investigation by our company we determined the events not to be TRUE. The customer purchased the Starlight bed that included everything EXCEPT lights, drawers, and rails.

These are EXTRA features that are an ADDITIONAL PRICE as shown on signs above the bed. The itemized receipt was reviewed and signed by the purchaser, which is company policy.

The signed invoice showed a dollar amount equal to COMPLETE BED w/o the EXTRAS. Knowing and viewing exactly what was purchased the customer, signed the invoice for delivery.

Delivery was on time and complete. Also after customer's dissatisfaction a Good Faith Effort was made where Lights were DELIVERED and INSTALLED free of charge.

Still not satisfied we entered into mediation with BBB and the Customer where an agreement was reached, but when asked to document the Customer REFUSED. The mediator then dismissed the claim and to date Superior Waterbeds has NO existing complaints with Houston BBB.
