Rise Up Rankings, LLC Jimmy Smith Scamed me for $3,322 dollars and I have nothing to show for. Atlanta Georgia

3,500 dollar deposit stolen from me by Jimmy Smith, Rise Up Rankings, LLC out of Atlanta Georgia. Nothing to show 4 months later and haven't heard from Jimmy Smith or Rise Up Rankings in well over a 6 weeks. I engaged in a contract dated 4/1/2013 for the design of a website. The contract was outlined to take 1/3 deposit to get started, another 1/3, and another 1/3. I paid 3,500 dollars for the initial deposit for Jimmy Smith to get started on my redesign. I provided Jimmy Smith or (Rise Up Rankings, LLC) a website I had already built as as the primary guidance for the project. I was simply looking for a better user experience and added a few modules. 13,000 dollars seemed more than enough for Jimmy Smith to be satisfied. Not one aspect of the project was delivered on time or even completed for me to view. Jimmy Smith got so frustrated since I didn't like the 1 (only) design he created that he forced me to go out and find my own template to use. Once I asked him to modify the template Jimmy Smith became frustrated with me and said, "I need to quit changing my mind." I've been in the business for over 10 years and never heard that reply from a designer or company. I was disgusted at the fact Jimmy Smith or Rise Up Rankings, LLC could not work with a client to obtain the feedback he was looking for. I then filed a complaint on bbb.org and what do you know. Jimmy Smith (Rise Up Rankings, LLC) comes out of the closet. I was actually amazed I got any kind of response. Instead I received regular responses. Asking if he could continue the project. I found some humor in a company going MIA for 6 weeks and coming back only because I filed a complaint with bbb.org. I told him that I had already hired another company and was happy with the progress. He then began to threaten me suggesting me he was going to continue billing me that I did not send the documentation (sent via us mail) to terminate the contract properly. What a guy. I am spending this time to write to help prevent others from getting scammed by Rise Up Rankings, LLC.

Feel free to look me up on linkedin.com. I'm one of many CIOs around the country that run our US financial network. You insulting one of your clients is exactly what you will get the minute Jimmy Smith has your money.

Once that check arrives you probably wont hear from him more than a handful of times.

Contact me via linkedin.com if you have been scamed. At the least post here so hopefully it doesn't happen again. I am looking to file several suits with the victims of Jimmy Smith and Rise Up Rankings, LLC.

I feel sorry for the kid that lost $8,000 dollars. I'm sure he saw Jimmy Smith, Rise Up Rankings, LLC portfolio and was impressed. I was too but it's not legitimate.

Check the referecnces he has in his portfolio. They are hardly his work.

Jimmy Smith of Rise Up Rankings, LLC works by himself and with a poor bluetooth connection. One man band that will take you for anything you will give him.

Jimmy,

You sound imature in your response to stealing peoples money. Grand theft in the amount of money. I encourage anyone that has lost money from Jimmy Smith, Rise Up Rankings, LLC to contact me via linkedin.com or post on this form.

Jimmy take note I am one of many CIOs that run our financial network of banks in the country. I do not need to prove my ability to you. However, I do expect my money to be returned.

Check Jimmy Smith's Rise Up Rankings, LLC references. The sites on riseuprankings.com are not really his work. I believe that is why I was scamed so easily.

I entered in a contract with Rise Up Rankings when I was 18 and now I am 20 years old. He told me the app would only take 90 days. Its 4 months away from being 2 years. He does what he wants, I created templates of what I wanted to see on the app. I detailed everything so clear that even if you knew nothing about apps you would understand me. He only applied what he wanted.

Despite the rollercoaster he had me on I still tried to comprimise, but he doesn't respond to my emails or calls.

I worked 4 years as a lifeguard saving every penny now I have to take this guy to court just to lose more money and time. Sorry to the other victim I know exactly how you feell

I can only say that Anthony Gallo is a bit too entitled in his claims. He claims to be a veteran in the IT realm, managing developers and projects. The guy haggled the project down to a break even point for profit, in the duration that the project should be completed in, meaning there isn't much margin for error to get this thing delivered on time and on budget. He would flip flop on different designs, then he chose a specfiic template from Themeforest, it was implemented, and I got the final green light on it (this is holding up other work, and he already knew that the other back and forth he was doing with other designs was holding back work).  He then comes back and says he doesn't like it.  I tried again to accommodate and we just kept running in to road blocks. Speaking of communication, he was out of pocket at these critical junctures.  He also left out the fact that he was harrassing me, constantly with weird phone calls and skype messages.

He is like one of those funny Yelp reviewers that has no idea what the restaurant or waiter has to deal with on a daily basis to make sure everyone is taken care of. I don't know what else to say about the guy.  He refused to work in a civil manner after a while, and I even offered to finish his project after the BBB complaint, but never did I ever ask him to remove it.  That's his opinion to put the complaint there.  I'm only offering to finish up his entire project, which by the way is not $13,000, as stated, and by the way, he did not follow any of our procedured in our contract to get the project done.  He wasted a lot of my time, and it's tough doing business with someone like this, let alone still offer to help them, after they have been harrassing you.  He states that I was not communicating with him, but he did not state that he was trying to bully to pay him back all his money, after a good bit of coding and design was done, and customer service hours, etc.  Not to mention, that he is taking up room in the pipeline of customers that I could have potentially been doing work for. I'm really not sure, how this shows his experience in managing IT projects.  He is not sympathizing, with me, a fellow programmer at all.  Maybe he has never had to go out and work for his own clients before, instead of working at another company.  I'm not sure.  Maybe there was just a huge miscommunication or timing issue, where we crossed paths at some weird juncture of the universe, where everything seemed to line up to make the project not move fwd.  I'm not sure, but a lot of effort has gone into dealing with this individual and trying to please him as a client, that much is for sure.
