Complaint Review: Rising Phoenix Rescue

I can't understant why this person is still in Business. I am another person that wanted a dog and felt it would be best to rescue one, we have so many dogs around the united states that need help. I found my wonderful dog Name Sam on Petfinder.com, Once I looked over his file I contaced Rising Phoenix Mastiff Rescue and spoke to the lady that runs this so called business, her name is Trisha Porter. I only spoke to her over email, during this time I asked several questions about sam..Is he fixed? Any major health issues I should know about, his age, where he came from, and many more.

When it came time to process the adoption I sent her an email with all my information, simple as that. This was not my first time adopting a dog from a rescue, the last dog I adopted asked me several questions over email and than set up a phone interview with me, once I was approved I went to the house the dog was staying at so she can meet me and see if I am the best fit for this dog. When it came to adopting Sam it was not that way, she told me that she will be out of town and that she has a voluteer that can meet me, her name was Gail Porter, so I called Gail and She wanted to meet in a parking lot, I found that kinda strange, why would she want to meet me in a parking lot? why did a volunteer have to meet me and not the adoptive parents of Sam at the time? Why could I not just go to the place he wa staying for the past couple of months?

I met Gail on 09/11/2013 in the parking lot, and when she got the dog out, it brought me to tears, I could not believe my eye's, this dog was so skinny, a Mastiff should be about 150lbs or a little more, this dog was 118lbs, I asked Gail what was going on, this is not what I thought I drove 5-hours to pick up, And let me tell you I saw pictures but the pictures looked nothing not even close to what I saw. This dog couold hardly walk, his eyes were full of gunk, you could see his bones, he had a very bad odor and scars. I felt so bad I could not just leave and go back home withot him. I asked Gail more information on this dog, I was told that they have taken him into the vet, so I aksed for all that information, she gave me the number to the Vet office that Trisha Porter sais she took the dog. I called the Vet right in front of Gail and the lady from Zillah Veterinary clinic said they have no record of Sam and that they have not done business with Rising Phoenix Rescue since March of 2013, right from that point I knew this lady was a liar and this so called Rescue was a scam.

I took Sam into the Vet the very next day and this is what they said in the letter they typed up for me to show the local sheriffs department of Yakima that has an open case on her..

Per my vet: she examined Sam that is a 2-year old English Mastiff, adopted from Rising Phoenix Rescue on Sept 11th, 2013. I found him to be in extremely poor physical condition (BCS 1.5/5) With a weight of 118 pounds, weak, and had a yeast infection of the right ear. Sam reacted strongly when any attempt at touching his head was made (extremly fearful) they foud heavy intestinal parasites burded based, fecal exam was submitted to Antech Diagnostics, the fecal examrevealed large amounts of both Toxocara and Toxascaris eggs (Roundworm, 2 different species) We starded sam on Panacur on 09/12/2013 and 1-week later re-weighed him using the same scale and he now weighs 129. Our vet will be requesting a site check on thi rescue organization to ensure that all animals under their care are in suitable condidtions.

This is how she Runs her business, she gets dogs from all over the place, las Vegas, Idaho, and California, she brings them back and will foster them out right away so when people like myself come after her they can't pin her because the dogs are not on her grounds, they are at other homes and thats the part thats making it very hard to shut her down, we need to find who is helping her and bring her down..If you have any pictures and emails please contact Randy Sutton at 509-961-5439, please help me and others shut this Tricia Porter lady down and lets save the dogs she has right now.. 

Please report anything you have on this lady, I know we can do this and get her out of business.
