NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rising S Company has a website that is full of false advertising, false product and service claims and false warranties. I paid $45,000 up front for them to build my NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) underground bunker, including delivery and installation. The website made it sound so safe and complete ("just add personal belongings". There are so many false claims, I don't know where to begin. First of all, the bunker was installed wrong. Rising S Company installer chose the site, cleared off two feet of grade from the topsoil ( I have an expert report confirming that fact), dug the hole too deep and had to use more concrete to cover it, (which they tried to make me pay for), then they pushed all the excavated dirt to one side and made a "hill" where all the rain water runs over the top door of my underground bunker and the door leaks (also confirmed by an expert).
When I complained, they told me it was my fault for not correcting the bad installation. When I demanded they honor their warranty, they told the BBB (Better business bureau) that their purchase contract voids the warranty, which is insane. The contract has a paragraph written after the signature, that is not included in the contract, which states in part, that the customer is responsible for "maintenance". No definition of maintenance, no written manual or documents, but they defined it themselves to the BBB as the customer is responsible for their bad installation, yet they write on their website "Highest quality engineering coupled with Expert Installation". They claim their installers have "vast knowledge on every aspect of the business" but apparently flunked physics because water runs downhill. They also told the BBB that their doors are "weatherproof" not "waterproof". Excuse me, I believe rain and snow is "weather" last time I checked.
Yes, when snow melts, it goes inside my NBC bunker door that is supposed to keep out Nuclear particles, Biological and Chemical agents, but not water. They also claim their shelters "are coated with rubberized sealant (rated for 150 years) protecting the vessel from corrosion and water leaks. This allows the unit to "self-regulate" the temperature inside the unit; eliminating moisture & corrosion problems that you will inevitably encounter with shipping containers." Did I just hear Rising S state that their coating eliminates moisture & corrosion because it self-regulates the temperature INSIDE the bunker? Yes, I did and that is a bold-face lie. When I first called them and told them my bunker was flooded, they told me it was just "moisture" and its my job to wipe it all up, it could get several feet of moisture inside the bunker. This is part of their "maintenance" I'm supposed to telepathically know even though it contradicts their website statements.
It gets better... here's just a few quotes from their website: 1) referring to my rusted out interior and door "Rising S Bunkers provide a lifetime guarantee on all craftsmanship"; "We design, build, ship and install the units all with in-house personnenel ensuring quality and confidentiality."; " We are the only bunker manufacturer that fabricates our very own blast doors in house." Even though they manufacture the doors, when it leaks, its not a defect, according to them. "All our bunkers and bomb shelters have bullet resistant, fail safe, tamper proof doors ": unless of course, your a drop of rain or a snowflake, then they rust out completely. 2) When you read their "Certifications" page, all you see is certifications for "storm shelters", not NBC bunkers and they state: "We offer the best underground bunkers, storm shelters and safe-rooms on the market...our bomb shelters are the BEST on the market." 3) On their FAQ page here's what they state comes with a standard shelter they write: "bunk matresses, stove, water heater, all bed frames, interior walls/doors/hardware, all plumbing fixtures, sinks water filtrations, toilet, shower, shelving, solar charging system, battery/batteries, TV/DVD player, Surveillance cameras, LED lighting, all electrical, cabinets, sofa and dining table (when equipped), NBC air filtration plus many more items. All you will need once completely installed and ready to go are your personal items and food."
When I asked where my surveillence cameras were, they said it was a misprint, which is still there, and has never been corrected. In that case, the whole website is a misprint. They write that the only way to reinforce shipping containers is to"line it in concrete blocks or in wood...both of which are inferior methods compared to the strength of the heavy steel used in RSC units." However, they encased my underground bunker in concrete. Why? if its so inferior. Doesn't matter, it shifted anyway. 4) Refering to my rusted out NBC filtration system they claim to warranty it for replacement "even if the dog chews it up". Rising S refused to replace my rusted out NBC filtration system. I'm guessing because I don't have a dog.
I don't have the time or energy to go over all their false statements because there's just too many. But they want to warn you about all the very bad bunker and shelter companies out there, so much so, they dedicated an entire page titled "Know the Truth" telling consumers why all their competitors products are "inferior" and they have "bad ideas" and beware of these "fly by nights" so you can trust Rising S company Right? They even publicly declare their company "christian" and state their logo of three crosses on a red hill is for their christian faith. Well, if that's christian, then they give God and Texas a bad name. (((ROR REDACTED)))
