I made a call to a telephone number in regards to an ad about an apartment for rent. A person by the name of Mark answered. I asked him if the apartment was still available for rent. He said it was and then started questioning me about how much money I make and how soon I would be able to put a deposit down on the rental property. I told him that I would like to see the apartment first before I could be sure. He then started ranting about how he was not going to come and drive all over Rockford and show apartments to people who say they like the apartment but not put a deposit down because if someone else likes the apartment, then he will rent it to them but only if they put a deposit down first! He said he wasn't going to waste his time and gas to deal with people like that! Weird right! ?? So I said to him sounds like you are in this only for a profit and I am not going to guarantee you a deposit without seeing the apartment first and that I never get a response like this when dealing with Property owners. He just hung up on me! SO RENTERS BEWARE! Mark Mercer is in it only for the money. He is very unprofessional, rude, and self absorbed.

One wonders WHO is the one who is REALLY self-centered. Its an apartment, ITS A BUSINESS! So YES they are profit driven! It doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand THAT!! They were asking YOU if YOU could put a deposit down. NOT if YOU could afford it. YOU have NOT been ripped off and YOU should be ashamed of yourself for posting on a public forum what amounts to a LIE! Lets just use the BASIC standard used in a court of law. SHOW PROOF!! SHOW how and WHERE you were ripped off. SOmeone NOT wanting to show YOU an apartment IS NOT A RIPOFF!! THAT is just YOU being a dillhole for not getting your way. Obviously by YOUR attitude THEY dont want to rent to YOU. Get over it. GO BE LEET SOMEWHERE ELSE! YOU HAVENT BEEN RIPPED OFF IN ANY WAY!! Thankfully the person AND business that YOU have made a DEFAMATION post about has the right to go after YOU for what YOU have willingly posted on a public forum.
