Complaint Review: Rix Magazine / Rico Baez / QSI Media / Independent Media Group / RIX Girls

This update is to correct the allegations listed in the above report titled "The truth from the Inside." In regards to the matter of my employment mis-compensation with Ricardo Baez the founder and owner of IMG, has been amicably resolved and no further action was taken or needed.

Any fraudulent allegation referenced regarding Ricardo or IMG was also unfounded. I'd like to make a formal apology for taking a personal disagreement to social media and wish the best for both parties. To whom ever happens to come about the report titled "The truth from the Inside" please take into account this update.

It is in fact true; Ricardo "Rico" Baez is fraudulent and since 2001 he has honed in on his elaborate schemes to scam small business owners.  I worked for Ricardo Baez and shortly after began an internal investigation of the company and his actions.  I learned of his fraudulent dealings including but not limited to: Tax Evasion, Fraud, Money Laundering, Failure to Provide Services, Breach of Contracts and more.  

The BBB.org does not have a list of advertisers because Ricardo Baez and his "companies" have never been accredited.  Although the list of business's whom have been scammed date back to 2001, maybe even further back. 

Ricardo "Rico" Baez has had to create different company names over the years to avoid detection.  These names are as follows: 

RISING IMPORT XPLOSION - (RIXMAG.com) - Car Shows

QSI Media - (QSImedia.com) - Computer Repairs, Advertising, Marketing

RIX Entertainment Magazine - (RIXMAG.com) - Car Shows, Advertising, Marketing

Glitz and Glam - (RIXMAG.com) - Night Life, Clubs and Parties

Independent Media Group | iMG - (IMGontheweb.com) - Advertising & Marketing

FACT: Advertisers and readers beware Ricardo "RICO" Baez is a fraud that will empty your wallets and close your business.

iMG is Ricardo "Rico" Baez's most latest reopened endeavor as of November 2013.  He claims to specialize in Marketing and Advertising, where he will be able to brand your business and increase sales through print marketing as business cards, flyers, postcards, ads; commercial videos for TV, social media; website creation, trade show management, door to door sales and more.  He will engage in a speech aimed to paint a picture of his idea for your company but fails to execute on services (Breach of Contract - Legal).  He will have you pay out checks directly under his personal name (Tax Evasion - Legal) because after research, it has been found that Independent Media Group does not exist (Fraud - Legal).  

Additionally, he has never been able to provide "Performance Reports" showing that his marketing tactics have any effect and/or increases sales for your company.  But it is easy to see that his marketing tactics do have a negative effect on your company's finances.

FACT: People who work there all lie daily. Open your eyes and ears son!

On the matter of people whom have or currently do work for him.  Ricardo "Rico" Baez continues his schemes by searching for young and ambitions individuals where he can manipulate through his words.  He will promise you the world through the experience you will gain but will look for all and any reason as to why you do not deserve payment for the services you would provide to him.  He will use you to become "UNJUSTLY ENRICHED - Legal".  He loves verbal contracts so that when things go wrong, you will have no proof of compensation requirements.  All who have worked for him can attest to being ripped off.

FACT:  Perception is KEY

Ricardo "Rico" Baez is an incredible smooth talker.  But have him put PEN to PAPER and you will see his words are all he has.  He will take your money and utilize it to continue improving his image in terms of purchasing fancy clothing and apparel to give off a professional image; plastic surgery to alter his image and figure; and vehicles/electronics to appear as if he knows what he is doing.

I am sure that after his most recent endeavor with "IMG" and the many he has recently scammed, he will have a difficult time recovering from the blow as his clients have placed lawsuits against him for the "Legal's" listed above.  Just as before he will go into hiding for a few years just as he did when he walked away from RIX Magazine for the same reasons.  But he will eventually come back out of hiding and continue to scam people.  Don't hold it against; this is just all he knows. 

I urge any business's and individuals whom he has scammed to add to this post and file complaints with the Better Business Bureau @ bbb.org. You may also like to report him to the Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs @ 973-504-6200.

I also feel compelled to list his other criminal matters involving a long term history of "Domestic Violence" against his many woman.  

RIX Magazine has not been given an opportunity to correct this issue via phone call, email, or any other form of communication. We take our name and our business seriously and will do whatever we can through personal communication to correct any concerns. It is unfortunate that some individuals feel dissatisfied and must resort to negative comments in a public forum because they didn't manage their finances properly or didn't have the funds available in the first place to advertise his/her small business. Like many other services, special or preferred positioning is not uncommon yes at RIX magazine we offer that option to both our advertisers and sponsors. RIX MAGAZINE is an independently owned publication and although our printing dates do get pushed back, the quality of our book has always improved since its inception. Our reach is accurate and we know we go the extra mile by participating in over 25 annual events including charities to support the car scene. We have references that support all of the above statements and if need be we would be glad to show you our history.

We may not have any control of what any author posts on this unaccredited website, but we do have the right to protect our name to the fullest extent of the law. We owe it to ourselves as its founders, our staff, contributors, sponsors, advertisers and loyal supporters to post this rebuttal. We aren't upset because the authors message holds no merit but we are very disturbed that someone would take the time to slander what our team puts so much effort into on a daily basis and not to rape the racing, import, xotic car scene but by putting out a quality product that heavily supports the industry. No company, big or small, is able to make every single person happy but if we are given a chance to correct these individual concerns we can help eliminate the need for personal and illegal attacks on our reputation.
