You recieve an email from Fred Beans auto dealership saying we have seen your resume and based on our experience you would be very successful selling cars at our dealerships. The email is signed by Steven Schwartz of Williams and Associates. At the interview he explains he has been authorized to hire and train sales people. After the breif interview he says again you will be great at this job. You are invited to the class which is really just a series of stories about Schwartz's past and his fathers accounting business. A some point he says you need to pay half of the cost of the class; but Fred Beans Saturn ect. will refund that money in 90 days.
The class ends on a Friday but he doesn't know your assignment yet so he will call you on Saturday. He finally calls on Saturday and informs you you weren't selected. He suggests you look in the phone book for other dealers and they will try to get you placed.I did not sign up for a placement service; I came in for the promised job. The email never mentioned any fees. When you ask about the money he is too busy to talk. He hangs up and you realize you have been ripped off.

Rebuttal to Williams and associates

I am the General Manager of Saturn of Limerick. We have used Williams and Associates on several occassions. We sub contract them out to recruit salespeople for our dealership. Saturn of Limerick does not place the ad, nor does the ad promise a position.

This is how the Williams system has worked in the past. The candidates recruited are interviewed Monday/Tuesday by Williams and Associates and some, not all, are invited back for training on Wednesday. At the end of the first day, the training fee for training is disclosed. Approximately 50% of the origianl candidates do not return because of the fee. This leaves only candidates that are serious about entering the auto sales industry because of the commitment.

I pop in and speak during the week but cannot verify whether a promise of employment at our dealership is made or not. We interview and screen the candidates left on Thursday and Friday, and make no promise of employment. The following week is when our backround checks are completed and we make offers to some, but not all candidates.

For the record, we have never had an issue with any other Williams and Associate candidate, and my understanding is that Williams offers placement, if a candidate apllys for such. Saturn of Limerick reimburses the employees half of the Williams fee if the employee stays with us for 90 days. We also have 7 Williams candidates that are excellent salespeople for us as of today.

We are sorry that this candidate was not hired, and that certainly can be a blow to the ego. I know; I interviewed many places and got turned down as well. I just picked myself up and decided that those places I interviewed with were not a match and the right companies for me.

I just did not want this to reflect negatively on a dealership that has an excelent reputation with customers and the local community.

I cannot believe the man that posted that rebuttal. I HAVE in fact been deeply affected by this Company Scam. At the end of his post notice that he comments about a certain letter that praised him as a yada yada yada... Here is what I'm am telling you people. I HAVE BEEN A PART OF ONE OF THESE CLASSES THAT TELL YOU LIES A DECIEVES YOU. The letter was a requirement for my class of 12 people in which only 3 people ended up with jobs at the end. On the last day our instructor, instructed us to write a letter about him to him and that it was a requirement to graduate from the training course. All in all, we ALL wrote the letters #1 because we had trust in him #2 because he NEVER said one thing to make us feel like we didn't have THE job, and in the end we all lost everything, our pride and our dignity because these people are so good at what they do trained to SCAM you in your face with a SMILE.

This student was interviewed on Monday, explained that there would be a fee for tuition, which would be refunded to him if hired by dealership, and retained for 90 days. He was pleased with this arrangement. THEN, on the first day of class, he was informed again of the process. Clearly explained that there was no promise of a job, but if not hired, Williams & Associates would arrange interviews for him! I even offered to call other dealerships for him.

Student wasn't hired because he couldn't pass the simple intelligence tests given by dealership. Also scored poorly in Psycological eval. He never contacted Williams & Assoc. to be set up for placement at another dealership. Student wrote me a glowing letter at the end of the class praising me as a "Great Trainer" Still not sure why he is upset??
