Complaint Review: RJM Acquisitions Funding LLC - Fingerhut

The company identified itself as a "debt collector" who had purchased an old credit balance of mine from Fingerhut; however it provided no means of verifying the account number or its details.

This is not an obligation I've seen on a credit report, therefore, I've opted not to take advantage of the three payment "opportunities" offered to me: 1) Satisfy full debt of $228.59 with a one-time payment of $91.43 @ a 60% discount; 2) pay total of $137.15 with $27.43 payments toward settlement @ a 40% discount, or 3) $228.59 full amount @ payments of $13.71 until debt is satisified.

This may not seem like a rip-off, but I am greatly concerned that the Ripoff Report website was the response I received to my Internet inquiry about the company.
