I purchased a 1993 from RK on Sept. 30th. They signed a odometer statement and the odometer does not work. It reads 192,000 plus miles. When I called them after leaving the lot, they said, "too bad!" Since I paid $1500 they said it was a wholesale sale, but yet I paid the $421 processing fee. They didn't process the car or they would have found the odometer not working so they say. On the odometer statement they did not mention that they odometer isn't working. So they gave me a fraudulent statement form. They could not explain why they wouldn't fix the odometer. Of course, the people don't return calls so I spent a lot of time on hold or being hung up on.

Then about 2 weeks later, I received a title in the mail for the car. The title came from RK in Virginia Beach. When I called the Hampton site, they knew nothing about it. Finally, after 2 days Regina told me that I needed to go to DMV and get the car titled in my name. When I told her that I paid to have RK do that she said ok send the title back to her.

Well, surprise I got the title back with a note that said I have to take the title to DMV and get it done myself. They send me a check for some of the costs I paid for taxes, and titling, but not all of it. Of course I didn't get any of the $421 processing fee back.

When I called and talked to Alan Greenwald who was listed on my note to talk to he had no idea about the title or why it was sent back to me. Again the note stated that since it was sould "wholesale" they don't take care of the titling, but yet I paid for that!

I have never had such a terrible car buying experience as I have had with this dealership. They stink. I have already reported this to the DMV and plan to let everyone I can know what a rip off RK Toyota is!!!

What they did is a Federal offense, and could get them put out of business along with jail time. Tony is just thankful you didn't know this and turn them in to the feds.

After six weeks, the titling of my car was taken care of. Tony Affa from RK of Virginia Beach came to the rescue. We came to a resolution of the odometer, also. Tony was a great person to work with. It was nice to have someone listen to my issues and follow through with a resolution. Thank you for handling the situation, Tony.
