RMI/Rescue Mortgage ripoff Edina Minnesota
We were contacted by Van at Rescue Mortgage and told we could save a lot on our mortgage payment. We went ahead and refinanced, but at closing, the numbers weren't what he had promised us, so he said he would give us an extra $500.00 - even if he had to pull it from his commission.
That was two months ago -- still no check! This is after leaving dozens of messages, getting called back about a week later, being told the check will be cut next week, etc. I went ino the office and spoke face to face with Van last week - he told me the HR lady would be in Monday and would cut the check, then he would overnight it to us. It is now the next Thursday, and Van is conveniently out of the office for the rest of the week! We found this out after leaving messages for both Van and the supervisor, Greg. (neither returned our calls)
Rescue Mortgage is a terrible company to do business with. We are not giving up until we get the money that was promised us, no matter what. We just want to warn everyone out there not to do business with them!

Wow, now even the president of the company, Patrick Mach, is in on the deception.

He said that Van and Greg both explained to us that the $500 cash they owe us actually was deducted at closing because they took 1/2 point off the originating fee. ???? We have no clue what they are talking about. They never discussed that with us, plus, the numbers we were given by Van and the actual numbers at closing were still way off - our payment amout is a lot higher than it was supposed to be. Van told me TO MY FACE that he would be mailing the $500 check the following Monday - now tell me why he would say that if he had explained to me that we saved the $500 at closing? Van and Greg both lie and take advantage of people. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RMI/RESCUE MORTGAGE/MORTGAGE DEPOT IN EDINA, MINNESOTA!!! SPREAD THE WORD!!!
