On August 22, 2006 my car was towed from our apartment complex. Our car had no parking pass on it so it should have been towed. I am fine with it being towed, but I am not fine with how the "ROAD Runner Wrecker Service" handles business. Our car was towed at 2:30 AM on Tuesday, August 24th, and I'm fine with that b/c we were in the wrong.

However, when we contacted the "ROAD Runner Wrecker Service" company at 10:30 AM on the same day of the tow with inquiries on how to get our vehicle back, and where it was we received nothing. The office staff was extremely rude and informed us that we would need to wait until 12:00 PM for them to get a driver in the area to give us our car back. I was unaware that this was lawful or a standard procedure when it came to towing.

The "ROAD Runner Wrecker Service" driver was also extremely rude and he didn't arrive until almost 2:00 PM, even though he was supposed to be there at 12:00 PM. Upon his arrival the tow truck driver informed us that it was "Cash Only" payment and that it was $95.00. I gave him a $100 bill, and he said he had no change.

I'm sure that this isn't standard procedure or an ethical business practice. I hate being taken advantage of and I will pursue this until I am satisfied with the outcome.
