I worked for Roadmaster Drivers school for 14 months. I would like to share with you behind the scenes how they operate. If you go to the school or they call you saying they are from Career Trucker they tell you the tution is $6495 if financed or $4495 if you pay cash. What they don't tell you upfront is The Truth In Lending that the APR is 15 - 20% (WOW) On a 4 year loan your looking at $200 plus payments for a total loan of about $9000 with interest and principle. They tell that the companies they work with will give you tution reimbursement of 80-100% or $100 - $150 a month. The truth is that a company like Werner Enterprises will give you tution reimbursement of $100 a month and $400 total. The difference $100 + a month and $9000- $4000 is $5000 that you are responsible for or yourcosigner which they will go after with there Pathfinder Credit Services. They tell you they can get you a job by filling out applications and getting you a prehire. What they don't tell you is that the prehire is only a letter saying your qualified is you complete there prequalifications not a job offer. They also don't tell you is that it is slow and if you do get a offer it could be 1 to 3 months before orientation. Once you go to orientation you will be a trainee with a instructor for 1 to 3 months making $350 a week. Do the math you will be better signing a contract with Swift, Stevens or CR England for $3000 forstaying with them 1-2 years then going on your own. If you have the cash Roehl and Central Refridgerationn are 2 companies that you can get your CDL for about $3000. If your recruiter says this is not true tell them to put it in writing. BUYER BEWARE
