I’ll try to summarize the issue as best as I can. I started looking for cabinet maker to install new cabinets in the new house I’m building.

1: On 4/16/2015 Rob Colvard through houzz.com (Rob@txfinewood.com) contacted me and expressed interest in placing a bid. ( Houzz project inquiry). Shortly after we met and assured me that he would be able to handle the project and once the details are taken care of the job will take 4 weeks.

2: on 4/27/2015 he provided me with the proposal.

3: after working out the details and drawing up a contract on 5/5/2015 the contract was signed and rob was given a check for twenty five thousand dollars as the initial payment.

4: on 8/21/2015 all details were worked out and I was informed that they’re now in production.

5: on 9/12/2015 I received an email indicating the completion date of 10/21/2015 with another week for installation. I called Rob to inquire as to why the manufacturing phase would take so much longer than previously promised if they’ve been in production for 3 weeks and when I asked what percentage of work has been completed, In contradiction of the email dated 8/21/2015, rob informed that they’ve actually not started yet.

6: as a compromise and since the tile and granite suppliers have been on standby and could not proceed without the cabinets in place on 9/13/2015 I asked rob to install the lower cabinets by the 9/25/2015 to which he agreed but indicated that it might be closer to the 9/28/2015. (text messages).

7: on Thursday the 24th of September I contacted Rob to check the progress and he told me that he’s running late and that the installation of the lower cabinets will be closer to October second.

8: at this point rob would not return any call to his cell or office so I decided to go to his shop to see the progress for myself. When I arrived I was informed that no works has been done and they have no intention of starting or completing the project. He indicated that he would return the twenty-five thousand but it will take him some time because he would like to talk to his lawyer to find out about his liabilities.

9: Rob again stopped answering calls and messages. after a week of trying to reach rob I gave up and asked my lawyer to contact him and retrieve the money. After a week of trying he was finally able to reach him but My lawyer informed that rob is indicating that he does not have the money anymore becuse he has spend the money on his personal expenses and he'll need one year to pay it back and even then he wants to only pay back a portion of the money.

10: Rob again has became unresponsive and he's now refusing to return the money at all. We are very upset that he has effectively stolen our money, delayed our project by leading us to believe that he was actually working on the project and now refusing to return the money. We are now talking to the Texas attorney general to look into the possibility of bringing criminal charges against him and his partner Matt Russo.

My name is Matt Russo.  I am writing this rebuttal as the first step in repairing the damage done to my reputation by Behrooz Karimi when he filed this report.

My inclusion in this post is Erroneous And Without Merit Whatsoever.  Mr. Karimi Wrongly Assumed that I was a partner in this business given the regular contact that we had during the design and drafting stages of this project.

I was an Hourly Employee of Cypress Millworks & Design and was Not Involved at Any Time in the negotiation of contract terms or financial particulars specific to this project or any other project.  Furthermore, my involvement as an employee of this company, working in the scope of my regular duties, had no bearing or influence on the subject matter of Behrooz Karimi's report.

Behrooz Karimi's printed attack on my character and integrity has had detrimental impact on my life, emotionally and financially, as I transition into new employment opportunities.

I am currently seeking council and plan to pursue all avenues available to me accordingly.

Cypress millwork (rob Colvard) has agreed to pay back the amount owed in installments. I've asked ripoff report to remove this post. I will update once payment has been made.
