Robbins Brothers ripoff, Don't believe their advertising Mission Viejo California
BUYERS BEWARE: We purchased an engagment ring from Robbins brothers 6.5 months ago. Well, the center stone fell out so we took the ring back to the store thinking that it was covered by the lifetime guarantee. What they don't tell you is that if you do not bring the ring in every 6 months for a cleaning that they DO NOT COVER your ring. My husband still owes $1000 on the ring which now is just a band with a gapping hole in it. Then the sales women had the nerve to ask us to purchase another stone. We wrote to their corporate headquarters and asked for a resolution. No word yet.

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

Hello. I am an Ex-Employee of Robbins Brothers. Before getting bent out of shape over the diamond warranty there are some things you should know. It is industry standard that all warranted diamonds must be checked or inspected every six months to a year. In some cases I've heard of companies requiring customers to come in every 3 months for inspection.
It's a perfectly normal practice. After purchasing the diamond, Robbins Brothers require customers to sign a peace of paper verifying you received all information about your purchase in writing, including the diamond warranty. Sales reps use this practice as a major selling point when trying to lose you. Robbins brothers even have this warranty on the walls of there building.
Think about it. Robbins Brothers sale more engagement rings then anyone else in the industry and out of every person they sold you're the only one on this site that has a problem with them. The number one lesson they teach is LOVE THE CUSTOMER! And they do! If you were only 15 days late on inspection they would have made the exception and gave you the new diamond.
I've seen them do this multiple times. (Except it the ring shows signs of the diamond purposely being removed) I'm sure that there's more to this story that is not being disclosed. Just so you know I'm not just taking sides They fired me and I still bought my engagement ring from them. Makes you think huh!
