I have lived at The Preserve at Tampa Palms since December 2015.  There is a known on going lack of parking issue, to the point that residents have to park outside of the main gate on a regular basis. (If there are any spaces left out there due to guests parking.)

I recently had a rental car temporarily and wasn't able to make it back before the office closed for a parking permit.  ALL parking was full outside of the main gate, so I had no choice but to park in a regular space.  The following morning the car was towed costing me $175.00.  I called the property manager while I was at the towing company informing her that she was able to have my car released if she gave them the go ahead and she refused.  "If I do it for you, then I have to do it for everyone, have you considered renting a garage?"  Garages are $100 a month and her response was, we are running a special right now for $75...Really bad timing lady.

I explained to her that there was nowhere else for me to park my car when I came in and was told that I should have called them before they closed so that they could call the towing company and have the car left alone.  #1, I work two jobs and don't have time to have to worry about where I'm going to park when I finally get home.  #2, how am I supposed to know that I can call and have an exception made?  #3, I'm sure I can go on, but you get the point.

I have called the corporate office and left two massages as well as sending an email to them from their website with no response.  I tried to post a comment to the property community page and they rejected it and the manager from the office called me.  I let her know that it is unacceptable that I haven't receiged a call back from her boss and I expect resolution.  She apologized for her boss stating that she has been really busy traveling.  Not acceptable considering this was a month ago.  I told her that I expect a credit of $175 on my next month's rent, she said she will call her boss and talk to her.

I received a call back stating that I should have taken the extra steps to ensure the car wasn't towed, but they will make a "one time exception" and give me a $50 visa gift card.  I told her that this is not acceptable and I expect her boss to call me.  I asked for a direct point of contact and she said the number she gave me is it.  It only goes to a recording, I explained to her that and she said that's the only way I can contact.  I left it as she needs to have her boss call me, she said she will pass along the message.

I pay a decent amount of money to rent a two bedroom apartment that I'm not satisfied with.  I would not recommend this property or group to anyone considering how they handle unsatisfied consumers.
