I recently came upon this web site in my search to find out what is going on with Robele Career Solutions. I was shocked to see so many of the same stories as I certainly did not want to believe that I was stupid enough to fall for such a fraudulent scheme.

Now that I see the same story over and over again, I believe there is a pattern of fraud illustrated by RCS. My story is quite similar to all the others... I contracted RCS to provide career/skill evalution, marketing strategy & campaigns, networking opportunities, contact with decision makers, mock interviews, company research, salary negotiations, and lifetime counselling services, as well as guarenteed satisfaction.

There were several payment terms offered, one which offered a significant discount if the fee was paid upfront in a single payment. I fell for the discount "trap" and agreed to the discounted single, upfront payment.

Shortly after payment, I was informed by an email from my assigned consultant that our upcoming meeting is cancelled and that Robele is out of business. In his email, I was told not to bother to call him regarding the closure as he is completely surprised and had no information on what happened other than "the doors are closed". (Ironically, he did offer me counselling by his "new" business and a special deal if I paid for so many hours in advance). That was it...the only notice I recieved.

I called Lonnie Lauer, the VP who I siged with, for several days and finally received a call back from him. Lonnie gave me the story about how he had "no idea", is "completey surprised", and is "looking for a new job." He indicated the owner David Schwartz had a "nervous breakdown" and his wife shut the doors on the company with no advance notice.

He advised me to speak to a laywer and that he had no other information to offer me regarding refunds or status of the company. His final words of wisdom were that I should feel lucky as he signed 2 new clients and deposited their deposits on the Friday before the Monday in which the company was shut down...

I have called RCS King of Prussia office (main office) for several weeks and left messages on their voicemail machine but have never received any return calls. As the number of injured parties rises, perhaps its makes sense to pursue legal action as a group.
