Robert Donovan offered false credit card, tried to get additional info, possible credit card fraud consumer rip-off fraud I Do Not Know Where The Person Was Calling From Nationwide .....

This person called me at 9:15 PM, telling me that I had applied for a credit card about 6 months before. He had my name, phone number(obviously), and home address. He claimed I had been approved for a card with a $2,500 credit limit. My credit sucks! I wouldn't be approved for a $20 limit! I knew better.

He was using some kind of cell phone which cut out when I asked for his credibility. He said his name was Robert Donovan. He refused to tell me what company he was supposed to be from. He tried to get more info.

I'm posting this because I'm afraid that he might have enough info to get some kind of pre-approved card in my name. All he would have to do is pay the processing fee for one of those, send a copy of the card to someone gullible(making that person think that a credit miracle had happened), and go shopping.

I simply went to check my cell phone for missed calls and messages, when I found the number "800 603 8334" under missed calls. No message was left, so of course I tried to reach the number, it was of course a busy signal.

Curious, I decided to run the number on a search engine, whish lead me to this, let's call it, article. I hope you all know out there that 800 number's don't usually show up on caller i'd, so alway's check it out on the WEB, you'll be very glad you did.

That's all.
