Les Barber is a "representative" for a company called The Green Fund; a company that supposedly helps to find funding for MMJ projects for companies that are seeking funding. He "partner" with a character named Robert Gandy who is the "director" of a UK based company named Phoenix Capital Group. My colleagues and I were seeking funding for an MMJ project and was referred to Mr. Gandy by Mr. Barber. The two of them cooked up a term sheet with bogus terms based on lending $3MM+ to my team and also cooked up a fake fee agreement asking for 5% of proceeds from the pending "investor" funds. When they were asked to discuss the term sheet and the fee agreement, Mr. Barber started getting defensive and hung up in my face. My team and I never discussed specifics of what we wanted to discuss, but Mr. Barber dived right into yelling and pulling out of the deal and Mr. Gandy followed suit claiming that they no longer wanted to work with broker chains, etc. All of this after he specifically put into an email that he knew I was representing clients. Both of these men knew that the heat was on and then they went into defense mode because they were about to be found out and they even speak on trac phones and have yahoo and gmail accounts that can be easily be dissolved should they ever be caught. Beware of Les Barber and Robert Gandy, they are wannabe sophisticated scam artists who will try and convince you to do business with them, but you will lose money and time. I have also made the FBI aware of them as well. Nice websites and phony paperwork is what these guys are all about. You have been officially warned.

The rebuttal to this report is nothing more than further lies from the guilty parties. There was no yelling and screaming or threatening emails. All communications via email were kept and all phone calls were recorded which will prove that the only yelling and screaming came from Mr. Barber. Neither of these men were threatened, but they were asked never to contact the broker again. A lawsuit would be frivolous given the fraudulent history of one of the men in question. There are other rip off reports to substantiate this point.

Slanderous Report

#3REBUTTAL Individual responds

Thu, May 14, 2015

The person filing this complaint misrepresented herself as a principal for a deal requiring funding when it fact she was a broker who received the deal from another broker better known as a broker chain. We indicated early on that we work with principals only in these transactions. No money was requested from her or the client. So where she believes there is fraud is beyond comprehension. A term sheet was proffered for the principals review as discussion points. No firm agreement was ever entered into with the client or broker shall I say. Once we declined to do the transaction the broker became irate cursing, yelling and screaming through the phone. She sent several threathning emails. This is foolishness talking about FBI and filing this slanderous rip off report. A valid rip off report is when you actually get ripped off or deprived of monies owed to you. We are turning this report over to legal counsel to file slander lawsuit. You be more careful of what you put out.
