I found a puppy on puppyfind.com with the title Little Bit. Cute name uh? With an even cuter puppy!! I called 904.688.0391 and asked if the little guy is still available. The guy who answered stated that his name was Joe but later I found out his name in Rob/Robert Gentil. He said that he was selling the dog for his sister and yes the dog is still available. He was $1,250!!!
So I started asking questions. The guy said that he weighs 6 ozs and 8 weeks old!! (on the ehealth certificate it stated that his b-day is 08.19.04, just another lie) I know that is small in my head but there was no way to really tell how small he was in a picture. I asked him to send me pics of his parents and a pic of someone holding the puppy so I could get a better feel for his size. He said I can but by the time I send them to you the dog will already be sold. He said that he had a guy in Hong Kong that really wanted to buy him. (no pressure at all *sarcastically stated*)
I asked the guy if I could put a deposit down on the dog. He said that he would need payment in full to hold the dog. So I called my grandma and she sent him money that night through western union. He was very pushy. So pushy that I almost forgot that I was getting a puppy. All I knew was that he kept on telling me that he is avoided the guy in Hong Kongs calls and that I need to act fast! I felt suspicious but I shrugged it off. He also talked a lot! He knows a lot of nothing!! He said when would you like your puppy shipped? Tomorrow?
I did not like the shipping arrangment. I kept thinking that if he really is that small then he will never make it on a plane. I told him I would much rather drive to come pick him up. He did not like that idea at all and said that they would not be willing to meet me 1/2 way or anything. He PROMISED the puppy will be fine. The puppy was ready to be shipped and I called Delta to find out the flight information and they said that the puppy will need to be paid for at the time of arrival. I was confused. I thought the final amount paid $1481.95 included shipping.
I called "Joe" and he said that on every e-mail that he sent to me it stated that shipping is about $150. He is right, it did state that but I still was under the impression that the shipping was included. He yelled at me a great deal and told me that he had reservations about me. For 20 minutes he yelled at me. I cried and cried and cried.
At that point I was not sure if the puppy was even going to get on the plane. Well he did. He arrived. Very healthy and hungry. At least that is the way that it appeared. That night after checking him over I found that his "soft spot" open fontanelle was HUGE. About the size of a half dollar. I what that usually means...water on the brain.
Unfortunately I was right. "Joe" guarenteed this dog for congenial or heriditary defects. Water on the brain is congenial. Well guess what he is not returning my phone calls!! Of course. This puppy is still alive and kicking my his chances of making is are slim to none. The life expectancy is no more that 6 months. He is a sweet heart. I love him to peices and to think that he is going to pass breaks my heart!
BE CAREFUL GUYS!! I am the crazy one that researchs the grocery store that I shop at and look what happened to me. I just can not believe it. Not sure if anyone knows but water on the brain cause brain damage.
In extreme cases they will start to have seizures and walk in circles. He is not showing those signs yet but he has had an ultrasound and it was confirmed that water is on his brain. Once he starts showing sign he will need to be put down as the only other option is a shunt and that will be over $9,000! Steriods is an option for a lot of dogs but not when they are this small.
Oh yeah, I also found out through much research that there used to be a pet store located at the address that was tied to one of the numbers that he gave me.
All of the pictures of the past puppies on the web site are in a pet store setting. This could be a puppy mill or broker. I am terribly sorry that this is so long. Please e-mail me if you have any questions. I would be more than happy to offer assistance to you.

All of what you pulled up was on dzchihuahus website about a purchase that I made on another dog! I was not even talking about Little Bit. You have serious issues! I am saying she she she through out all of the e-mails. I am talking about a completely different dog!
About Safeco, I left Safeco almost 2 months ago. Keep on calling Robert. Keep on calling. :)

Just had to write to tell you how wonderful she is doing! Her and Little Bit a long sooooo well together! She is so tolerant of him! She has the best temperment! She loves everyone but is still very submissive! She sleeps with me every night at the foot of the bed! We just got back from the vet and everything is great! Everyone himed and hawed over how beautiful she is! She is going potty in the right spot and is just loving all of the attention that she is getting. Thank you so much for allowing me to purchase such a great little girl! We are calling her Cliche'.

I was also informed that due to this bad behavior Reannon Banua has been terminated by Safeco Insurance company. She claimed to have a sick and unhealthy puppy from me, but as you can see it is untrue and done by her as a malicious way of trying to hurt my reputation, Little bit is alive and well now as she was when I sent her away to this undeserving dog owner, As I stand, my Vet would have never allowed a sick puppy to travel. I rest my case.

First of all thank you to all of you with all of your responses. I have aleady talked to Diana Fushc many times. They really can not do anything but put his name on file and act as a medium in trying to subrogate for what has been done or lost. She was so familiar with his name that I did not even have to use his last name she new and just verified. I have contacted the USDA, FTC, BBB, puppyfind.com (where is was purchased) his vet, etc... You can not even keep up with the guy. He changes his name, number, e-mail and web address all of the time. Now he is at mychihs.com with yet a new number and e-mail address. Yes FL is a great state when it comes to the pet lemon laws but they honestly can not do much. The last thing that I can do is go to small claims court. I have contacted three lawyers. I would have to go to Daytona Beach which I am ok with :) but after all of the court costs I would not be getting anything back except for the gratification that every knows that this happened and it would be apart of legal documentation. That is honestly is what I feel I have been doing anyway.
Robert, I am still waiting for mail correspondence to go to court with you. You threatened this months ago then again in august and yet again in september. I wish that you would follow through. You dont even know what the words extortion or slander are I guess because you sure are not defining them correctly. I have said nothing but the truth. I have never lied and I will continue telling the truth. As you can tell, my main goal is for everyone to know who you are and what you have done. I begged you to stop. How many times have I done that Robert? Yes, you did tell me I could ship the puppy back and get a new one. You NEVER said that you would give me my money back. Even if you would have said that I still would not have sent him back you you. All I asked for was 146 and some odd cents for his current vets bills. He has had more, but why bother you wont pay a thing. So about shipping the puppy back to you...let me think about this for a moment...lets put a sick puppy that is 5 ounces back on a plane to someone who shipped this tiny little dog. I think not. That would have made me just as bad as you. You dont deserve to even know that my baby is alive but thank God it is the truth. Now healthy on the other hand. You are wrong. That simply is just not the truth at all. If I did not love and care about my little man I would have sent him back to you. I just can not get over the lies Robert. You lied about your name and where I was getting my puppy from. You told me your aunt, sister, and mom were breeders and because of the hurricanes last year they were unable to talk to me and you were helping them sell puppies in acutalality I was buying my puppy from a pet store. Lie after lie. One only lies when they have something to hide Mr Gentil. Take me to court please I need a vacation. Daytona Beach sounds good. Please tell me one time I was condencending. By the way what I have said is not illegal, that is what this website if for Robert. To tell the truth to the unknown customers.
Oh yeah...doing some rescuing due to hurricane Katrina? Interesting information if I may so so myself.

My name is Robert Gentil I am responding to this allegation.
1. A licensed State Vetrinarian examined the health of this puppy and passed, and signed and documented this.
2. Reannon was advised to return the puppy if she didnt feel comfortable with her Vetrinarians comments. She denied to return, I even offered to pay the shipping back and all expenses and a full refund, she denied the request.
I love animals and would never try to hurt one or a customer, this person was very unreasonable and threatning. I was told to return her money and she was going to keep the puppy. I will not be taken advantage of like this, In the aspects of law I was black mailed and acts of extortion. If these allegations are true than she should be letting a Judge and jury decide who is right and wrong, this is not the right way to do it or is it legal to slander my name like this. I am in the process of doing the right thing and it will be dealt with in a Court of law, I will not tolerate these allegations and slander, this treatment is unacceptable and condencending. Her puppy is still alive and healthy to state.

Go to www.malteseonly.com/lemon the law in Florida is tougher than any other state in the USA.
Go to small claims court if you can.
I wish you the best of luck with your pup.
What I would like to say to this breeder is this........
Do you think that anyone is willing to fork out large forms of cash for a pup that is going to die in 6 months.
I think it is the breeders responsibility to take extra special care of these special needs pups.
Why can't these pups be placed within proper homes that are aware of the problem and are willing to love the pup and provide proper care? These homes can be screened to the specifics of each individual pups needs. A responsible breeder would take great care with the future health of this baby. I do not believe a breeder intentionally has puppies with fatal defects. That would be stupid. But when it happens, why can't you own up to it?
A lot of families are not prepared to give the extra time and attention required for a special needs pup. Face it a lot of people don't have the cash for this either.
There are an awful lot of animals living in shelters right now. Abandoned. Abused.
Why would you risk having one of your pups in this situation?
If there is one sick pup in every fifty, it wouldn't be a huge financial loss for these breeders.
Unfortunately, that would be in a perfect world wouldn't it?
It is people like this that give responsible, reputable breeders a bad name.
Grow up!! Be responsible for your actions.
