My grandson purchased a car from the Autohaus in Tacoma, he is in the Army at Ft Lewis Tacoma WA. He called me and asked me to co-sign. I told him I needed to have the dealearship call to find out the particulars.

I spoke with 2 people, Jeff was one. I was assured that they would take all the necessary steps to make sure payments were taken out by the Army as automatic deductions. I was told no problem wwe do it all the time. I also asked of he could show my grandson someething other than a 3 year old car with aprox 80,000 miles. He said he needed a car that wasn't going to break down for him with a good warentee. I told him I would think about it.

In the next hour I received a call from my grandson that he had the car already, that he put 2,500 down and he signed the papers and was given the car. Three days later I received the papers to co-sign,I wasn't going to sign but my grandson said he would lose his money and they told him also the financing would be ok.

When I called the Auto haus about allowing him to drive off without the papers signed they were very rude I knew if I didn't sign He would lose the car and money, and I didn't want to do that to him. Wells fargo is the bank that financed the car. If my grandson is late they call me constantly middle of the night, weekends 2 or 3 times some days, always a different person.

Rude, Rude, threatening to take his car and sell it for half price. I have paid some toward the car to get them off my back. I have requested a copy of the contract very often,no contract. They added 200.00 a month for their own insurance. My grandson has insurance. These people saw an 18 year old soldier, away from home and really took advantage.

I think it is terrible. Both the Autohaus and Wells argo are fradulant. Something should be done

While I understand that you were wanting to assist your grandson in financing a car, please be aware that him not paying his bills has nothing to do with the dealership, the bank or the Army.

Robert Larson is able to submit the paperwork to Army Finance to start the automatic deduction from his check without any problems. Your grandson, however, is just as capable of going into finance and stopping this automatic deduction no questions asked.

You made the decision to cosign for your grandson which makes you responsible for his loan. I hate to say this but don't sign for him again. You also state that your grandson has insurance, do you have proof of this? It is possible to have an insurance card but not valid insurance. This is not a complaint against the company, your complaint is with your grandson that used you to get a car and is now defaulting on the loan that you cosigned.
