I received a call from aka "Robert Rodell" stating I won $280,000 from a sweepstakes called the "Great American Giveaway." The only thing I had to do was send $1300.00 money gram to Windsor, Canada.

I was told by "Robert" to place a family members name in the space where it says "receiver" on the money gram and not give that name to anyone for security reasons. Brinks was supposed to deliver the check the following day.

Once I got the money gram, I was supposed to call Robert back and give him the reference number on the receipt to show proof the 1300 was there. I called money gram and was told that you can not win a sweepstakes in another country!

I immediately got my money back! I also called the number for Robert later that evening and an answering machine came on. It was not a business message. Brinks never showed up either.

I called Brinks and was told they did not deliver things like that and it was a scam and I should notify the authorities as soon as possible.
