Customer purchased iPhone 6 128GB model for $488.00 Saturday, Jul 30, 2016 and paid for it. The eBay order was delivered to the buyer on Tuesday, Aug 2, 2016.

We ran a CheckMend.Com report prior to selling the device on eBay. The report ID is CM6415397-8F22E and can be verified at CheckMend.com/us/verify. The IMEI number of the iPhone 6 128GB model sold to the buyer was 354411063429584.

On 8-8-16 the buyer opened an eBay Return Request for the iPhone 6 128GB. The reason was "Doesn't work or defective". The buyer claimed "This phone not working. It not power on or charge at all. I would like to return it.". We responded to the buyer via eBay messaging multiple times saying "

Hello. Thank you for contacting us regarding this iPhone 6. I understand that you're having trouble turning the device on to use it. According to USPS tracking this order was delivered to you on 8/2/16. We do not ship these iPhones with a charged (full) battery and it needs to be charged prior to use. I see that a charger is not included in this listing. Have you charged this iPhone for 4-6 hours? if so, what type of charger are you using? Thank you & I look forward to working with you". The buyer never responded to any messages or calls made from us reaching out to him.

On 8-13-16, we were forced to accept the eBay return request since the buyer had never responded and had claimed that the device was functional. On 8-19-16 we received a package from the buyer with the eBay Return Label. We video taped the opening of the package (as we always do) to verify that it was the correct item. Upon seeing the iPhone it appeared that the front screen was not 100% flush to the iPhone body like it normally is. We suspected that something was up and decided to take the iPhone to the Apple Store located right across the street from our office. The Apple Store told us that the serial number of the iPhone sent back "differs from the IMEI on back of phone". Please reference Apple Repair No. R205384798 if you'd like to see their report. We attempted to reach out to the buyer multiple times via eBay messaging & by calling him. The voicemail box of the phone number on file was not setup.

We contacted eBay multiple times after this regarding the evidence we had gathered from Apple regarding the iPhone that had been sent back. The device had been tampered with, taken apart, and internally savaged. eBay took the stance that they were simply the selling platform and could not help. From each representive I spoke with the possible outcomes were different. One mentioned taking the situation to USPS Mail Fraud which is what I did. After the agent from USPS Mail Fraud did a simple Google seach of the buyer's real name Robert Yanochko (not Robery Brian) that was pulled from the PayPal details it seemed that the same situation has occrued to another memeber right here on Rip Off Report involving the exact same product, an Apple iPhone 6 128GB.

Robert Yanochko is a fraud.
