SCAM COLLECTION AGENCY: Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network, AKA, Michael Woods, John Reed, Massapequa Park, NY 516-799-2301 is a scam and rip off collection agency.
Do NOT use Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network, AKA www.nationalcollectionnetwork.com, Michael Woods, John Reed. They stole our money and did not send us promised report on the accounts we sent them!
I have read other forums where other companies have complaints against Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network, AKA www.nationalcollectionnetwork.com, Michael Woods, John Reed, Massapequa Park, NY 516-799-2301.
We hired Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network in good faith mid 2007 to collect against accounts that committed credit card fraud and or used the credit card companies to defraud us. We have it in writing from Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network that we would be provided reports on our accounts and we never received one single report. Even after several requests they would not send us a report as promised. I tried again May 2008 to give them another chance to give us our money or even a report to no avail.
At one point one of the accounts sent us a check DIRECTLY. Out of good faith (and now we know it was a stupid decision on our part), we sent Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network the check per their request.
They promised to deposit it (although it was made payable to us) and send us our share.
They committed bank fraud and cashed this check made out to us and again NEVER sent us our promised share!!!!
When we asked for our share and an update on our accounts they never replied for weeks. When we told them we would report them, rather than apologize they instead threatened to close our account and bill us for their work! We also have this in writing!
Unbelievable!
Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network is a scam agency and should be shut down. Do not use Roberto & Associates AKA , national collection network, AKA www.nationalcollectionnetwork.com, Michael Woods, John Reed, Massapequa Park, NY 516-799-2301 under any circumstances.
I just sent our complaint letters with our email evidence from this scam company to many government agencies. If anyone knows of any more regulatory agencies please let us know. They have over 80 accounts that I am sure they collected many and have kept all our monies.

1. They note that I still owe them yet they contradict themselves and admit to KEEPING my portion of a check they collected to offset what I owe them.
2. The contract I signed makes it clear that if they dont collect that I owe them nothing
3. Here is a copy of one of their ads further proving they do not charge if they cant collect:

I don't understand. I never owned or been involved in lighting. I am 64 and have far from a checkered past. I never owned a lighting company or sold lights. This place must have so many clients they screwed that they mix them up! So from what I gather
National Collection Network AKA Roberto & Associates of New York has done the same evil deeds to another company that they did to me. Makes sense. So they must have a patter of collecting and keeping the money. Very interesting....
I highly suggest they come clean and pay their clients the monies they collected. If they do this I am sure we would all post this.
Additionally the contract I signed has NO provision for reimbursement. And it was National Collection Network AKA Roberto & Associates of New York that closed the account based on my constant request for the money they stole from me! Get your records straight and stop confusing me with another account that you ALSO ripped off!

I am associated with this agency and I know them to be honest and straight-forward when dealing with thier clients. I know the circumstances surrounding this submission. The firm spent funds on postage and long distance and the accounts were worthless. The client was advised of this. His statment to the contrary is false. He called screaming and told us he did not want to further use the services of the firm while the accounts were still active. By contract with the firm, we were entitled to a ten percent fee. The firm collected $200.00 on his 80+ accounts. We retained the $140.00 owed to the client to defray the 10% fee. We have not tried to collect the balance due our firm. His statement that we collected a bunch of money and did not pay him is libelous. He actually owes our firm money!
In order to better understand the complaintant, please check him out on this site. His business is Contractors Choice Lighting. If you check him out, you can see that he has a very checkered past, to say the least. He is not the type of client we want at Roberto & Associates.
Roberto & Associates has helped thousands of clients recover their past due debts and accounts. Since this is our first really dissatisfied client, I guess our record speaks for itself. Thank you.
