Robin Herndon is a "Stand Up" Guy!

#2Consumer Comment

Wed, May 13, 2020

It appears that the same person wrote two (2) separate reviews about the same person/company within days of each other in an effort to have a "greater" impact.  It's like "stabbing someone twice," as if once was not enough.

I am appauled at people who write reports in an attempt to destroy someone's reputation, especially someone who made every effort to try and help this person.  I know Robin Herndon personally and have worked with him in the past, and he is a "stand up" guy.  If there is a credit card charge, why not simply dispute/reverse that charge if services were not rendered within a timely fashion? Too simple?

In this case, if there were delays in reporting a tradeline on one of Mr. Herndon's clients, it was not the result of Mr. Herndon conducting his due diligence prior to making this connection in an effort to help his client.  The tradelines are legally and ethically transferred into each person's name prior to reporting by a third party, however, when that third party's data sharing agreement with the credit bureaus (again, fully legal) is compromised due to a dispute wherein one client spoils it for the rest of them, it is not the fault of Mr. Herndon as these tradelines are completely legitimate, and were reporting prior to his making arrangements for the legal transfer (or assignment/reassignment) of a legitmate tradeline.

I too was told about the dispute that the bureaus took seriously.  Many people dispute items on their credit reports stating that it must have been identity theft, trying to get things removed. It seems these days everyone is doing it. Sometimes items are removed if they can't be proven (which they should be under normal circumstances), and other times without proof of the claim they are not removed. However, this incident was caused by an ignorant person who simply wanted a "laundry list" (including inquiries) over the past five (5) years removed from his credit to give him a brand new start. While I don't blame him for "wanting" a brand new start, filing a falsified police report and signing under penalty of perjury makes it a federal crime.  In this case, that person forwarded the same to the credit bureaus who, in turn, forwarded the same to the data furnisher.  The data furnisher provided legal proof to the police department in his local area, and advised them that it was a falsified report.  In their response, they requested that the police department forward the same to their local District Attorney's office where he is now being investigated.

The reason the bureaus stopped reporting was not due to these tradelines not being valid, as there is a legal paper trail, which is needed in order to secure a data sharing agreement with any of the credit bureaus.  Rather, the bureaus began investigating this falsified police report near the end of February, 2020, and then since, whenever the data furnisher inquires as to the status, all they are told is they are "still investigating."  This is what I meant above, when I stated that one bad client can ruin it for all clients, as while the bureaus are investigating such a dispute or claim, they pause reporting for all of them.

Some clients have "no clue" how things work, even after they discuss their options and are told that they will be working through a third party who legitimately assigns existing tradelines and transfers it into their client's name in order to provide a positive credit reference on their credit report.  As stated previously, the client is obviously not angry about the monies exchanged, but the fact that they stopped reporting, despite the circumstances being resultant from events referred to above, without having anything to do with Robin Herndon, as Mr. Herndon takes pride in ensuring his clients are taken care of, and has done and will do everything that he can do.  Unfortunately, this was not something he was in control of, i.e. another legitimate company's data sharing agreements with the credit bureaus, or the credit bureaus protocols, themselves.

For clients that are patient throughout this process, I'm sure the company will make every effort to make up for the delay, despite it not being something under their control, and they it will prove to be worth the wait.

As for the other consumer that jumped in with his/her opinions, people hire credit repair professionals because they are just that, professionals, just as people hire attorneys to represent them in a court of law. Were they to appear before a judge without knowledge of how to defend themselves, it would likely not end favorably.  Credit repair professionals know the ins and the outs from experience and through endless research of the law, and know how to write professional dispute letters as opposed to a lay person who would otherwise be denied every time.

Years ago I personally experienced three companies reporting items on my credit report that were reporting inaccurate information. As a lay person, I disputed all three several times, until I was blue in the face. It was not until I filed a lawsuit against each one of them that I prevailed. How? Because those people who ignored your every attempt simply passed it onto their legal counsel, who, in turn, simply wanted to resolve the matter, drafted a Settlement Agreement, and ultimately removed the items from my credit report.  Yes, it took time and effort, and most lay people wouldn't know the first thing about it, but credit repair professionals know how to go the extra step in order to "make things happen" and remove disputed items, as opposed to writing dispute letter after dispute letter - at the cost of a stamp as the consumer put it - but without that expertise, one can spin their wheels and never obtain results.

This is where Robin Herndon comes in. He is a credit repair expert and knows how to get his clients results faster, rather than their doing it themselves and perhaps never getting results, or at the very minimum, it would take them several months/attempts before ever seeing anything positive as a result.  People who know what they are doing are more likely to gain expedited results than someone who has no idea what to do or what to say or how to force them to prove that the debt is valid.  It's a lot of work, and I do not do credit repair, so I give my hat's off to those who are out there helping others with their expertise, and I would recommend Robin Herndon and his company to anyone looking for assistance in that area.
