In the process of buying a sectional in their furniture department in Brea, California I as advised by the sales associate that if I opened an account I would save an additional $100.00 of the sale price.

I applied for the account but was turned down because of a bankruptcy from over 10 years ago. It seems that although the bankruptcy has fallen off my credit reports Robinson May has a never forget/forgive policy within their internal credit department.

It's a given that they can conduct their credit policy however they wish, but I feel that it's a bit short sighted to not look beyond what happened over ten years ago. I still bought the sectional, but I I will most likely not shop at their stores in the future.

For those of you who may have had to file a B.K. in the past I thought you would want to know.
