I really wish I would have found more information and negative things about this company prior to using them!!
First off, check with BBB for the complaints; 17 complaints within such a short time frame, and the company has yet to respond to any of them.

We're a young military family of 4, and going onto our 5th station. We price checked auto transport for our 2nd car, and found Rock Bottom to be ONE of the cheapest, not THE cheapest but in the top 5 for pricing. Unfortunately, we didn't do a lot of research given we only had 2 months to move, so we contacted whoever gave us a decent price and pick-up times.

We signed our contract and paid a down payment AFTER a truck was guaranteed at the price; 2 weeks later (we did the 30 day option) we contacted them to get tracking information. We were informed our car was still sitting there, the original truck had broken down and in order for us to get a new truck, we'd have to pay an addt'l $100 BUT, the broker reassured us he'd split the difference and pay $50. We agreed.

A week later, a truck driver called us to inform us he'd be picking up the vehicle in 3 hours. My friend, who had possession of the car as we had already left the state, waited for 6 hours at her house, missing work and no one showed up. Called the broker 5 times, he never answered. The next day, truck driver called back to say he was 45 minutes out. I woke up friend up at 630, and she sat up waiting until 130 before they finally showed.

A week went by, it was out of our contracted drop off date, Rock Bottom refused to call us back, truck driver wasn't answering. Finally left a message with Rock Bottom threatening to go to military legal if we didn't hear back about our car, 2 hours later the truck driver called saying he'd be in our area the next day.

Late afternoon (the next day) rolled up, truck driver informed us he'd be in our area 5 hours later, but we had to pick it up 45 minutes away. We asked why it wasn't door-to-door, as the contract stated, he said he wouldn't come to us. 8 hours pass, we had to call him back and state our two very young children were asleep, that was when the truck driver stated he was 10 minutes away from the destination. I'm glad we made the bastards wait because pulling a 2 and 5 year old out of bed at 1 A.M. wasn't easy.

Once we got to the destination (the dumb asses couldn't give us the right address) we discovered Rock Bottom never informed them off an agreement where they'd pay the extra $50, so we had to find a way to take the rest out (We had maxed out our ATM daily limit pulling the cash out) to pay them. Our car smelled of cigarettes, the 1/2 tank of gas was completely gone, and  there were black fingerprints on every part, inside and out, of the car.

We called Rock Bottom to voice our complaints; 6 weeks later we hadn't heard back then today, my husband called to retrieve the updated price receipt. Michael threatened my husband, telling him if we didn't remove any negative reviews of their company, we'd never see our money or the receipt. He started cussing at my husband, more threats before my husband hung up the phone.

Please do your research and don't be as naive as we were!
