I was looking on the internet when I found this car for sale http://www.rockenbach.com/inventory/details.aspx?s=u&id=160828A.

It is an Infiniti J30 1993 selling for $1295. I called right away and asked if the car was in stock, they said "Yes it is here." I told them I would be down after my wife got off work and that we intended to look at the car and would have cash to pay for it.

A few hours later just before my wife got home I called them again and asked for the car by stock number. They told me what car it was and said that it was there. I told them I was on my way and that it was an hour and a half away.

When we got there, bare in mind I have a 13 month old son in the car, we were told that they "could not find the keys but that our salesman Bill Roth had "Seen the car just before he went to lunch." Well his salesmanager told us that the car had been leant out earlier in the day and that it was probably sold. He than proceeded to show us every piece of crap on the lot. An 88 Dodge omni that didnt even make it to the doors, a nissan sentra with a bad miss and a bad muffler, The list goes on.

Than he asked so how much money did you have to spend. At this point in time I smiled and said I have $3500 available to us. He proceeded to show us the same low caliber crap as before with a larger price tag.

I finally got fed up and told him why dont you call the girl the car is "leant to" that is hitting daddy up for the money to buy it and tell her to make a decision because if I can see the car I will probably be buying the car. He asked me if I was interested in financing I told him no.

I proceeded to inform him his inventory system was crap because I wanted to start hurting people and destroying property. I than left and am now looking for what can be done. We were there for 3 hours I was hopeful the car would be returned. It never was and the story behind it kept changing.

The following morning I called and asked if they had the car and was told "It went up two days ago." Sound dirty to you?

Be thankful you didn't buy a 14 year old J30. You would have spent the extra $2200 you said you had in repairs in the first couple of weeks and still been left with some old POS. Buying high end old vehicles will eat your lunch in repairs. The parts are very expensive. My folks got a 450SL mercedes for $1500 and spent $15,000 fixing it up and it's still worth only about $8000.
