Complaint Review: Rocket Lawyer

Rocket Lawyer rocketlawyer.com Rocket Lawyer is a Scam - They Do Not Offer Free Services Like They Advertise, Internet

Rock Lawyer scams people into signing up for an expensive monthly membership by falsely advertising their site is "free."  It is not free and the site is a fraud.

Here is what happened to me - I was searching the web for a free sample legal agreement I needed for my business.  I came across the Rocket Lawyer site and they say they have an agreement that is 100% free.  So the site asks you for a lot of information to help generate the agreement.  Then after about 10 minutes of entering party names, addresses, terms of the contract the agreement is complete.

BUT then in order to get the "free" agreement you have to enter your credit card details and sign up for their trial service.  This site is a complete scam.   I spent 10 minutes entering this information and I felt ike I had no choice but sign up for their service so my time would not be wasted.

None of this is disclosed on the rocket lawyer home page or before you start to enter all the information.  In fact, rocket lawyer lies and says the opposite and that it is free.  This company is a fraud and pulls a classic bait and switch. I hope the prosecutors go after this company and the scam it pulls so it can be shut down.

I can understand the frustration of filling out a form for services advertised as "Free" and when you finally get through they want a credit card to complete the transaction. This has happened to me on several different occassions. It is misleading and very disingenious. Very underhanded. These people do nothing but LIE.

These internet websites are getting more and more clever at how to defraud people. They definately put a lot of work in it.
