Rockwell Holding Company 1-800-950-1934

This company contacted us about a credit card the end of May 2001. They then took 224.90 out of our account electronically on May 31, 2001. Since then we have not received one thing in the mail. In July of 2001 we received another draft of 49.00 for card insurance. That was refunded immediately from the 2nd Company since we did not even have a card to have insurance on. We filed a complaint with Rockwell in July after numerous calls between June and end of July about not receiving anything. We even filed a claim with our bank to get our money returned.

It is now November 12th and we still have yet to receive the refund. We started another claim with Rockwell Holding in August and they told us we would receive a refund in 7 to 10 business days.

Of course no refund appeared so we contacted them again in September, same story no refund. Again in October we contacted them. We were then given the date of October 24th the money would be refunded. Nope, still no money. Now here we are on November 12th. I contacted them today myself.

My husband is military and unable to be home at this time to take care of this. (Sad that my husband's job is to protect people who run company's such as this that rip him and his family off.) Today I spoke with several people, needless to say I called over and over and over just to see how many different stories I would hear.

First I received the infamous "Computer system is down" and spoke to the answering service. Next I spoke with a supposed Floor manager who was quite rude and stated that what they are doing is not illegal that we do not have any claim to get our money back. He did not get the fact that we did not at one time agree to give them 224.90 without a service which has not been met. Next I spoke with another manager who in turn transferred me to a claims (refund) manager. This person stated "Do you want your dough back or not". Wow that caught me off guard, never did I expect to hear such educational words.

I started wondering what kind of people am I dealing with here that they speak in terms of "dough" for money. After speaking with this person I decided to call back. I wanted to see how many stories I would be given. It then took 3 tries to get through to someone with out getting an answering service. I then found out from this person that the claim was started October 19th and I should receive it in the next week. I questioned why he saw this on the computer but the manager I just spoke with did not. He did not know the answer and put his manager on.

Now I am speaking with someone else and she states that she has no idea why the manager stated this to me earlier and said she would call me back with in the hour. This person did call me back and stated that she sees this all started in August. (Another time stamp in this mess, so far if you have been keeping up the company has a date in August, October and one today for a refund, none seeing the same date).

She stated I should receive my refund by the 26th of this month. Unfortunately I doubt this will happen even though I wish we would. I am realizing this will be a very costly lesson that I hope no one else needs to learn.

To help in this battle against them I myself have kept a detailed account for all conversations today. I am unsure if my husband has done the same in all the conversations he has had with them but I know that I have his conversations backed up with all that was stated by them today when I contacted them several times.
