Complaint Review: Rocky D Construction

We hired Robert Sahadi and his Rocky D Construction Company to do a full cosmetic renovation on our co-op. The project saw delays due to incompetence from the very beginning.    He ordered and installed the wrong tile for our bathroom and also the incorrect doors throughout the entirety of our apartment.   

No apologies, just excuses.  We are now stuck with the incorrect items until we can afford to replace them, which is ridiculous.  He missed countless meetings to discuss our project; many times cancelling at the last minute due to inability to manage his schedule and sometimes simply not showing at all while we sat around waiting.  

Our project was scheduled to take 6-8 weeks.    We are now in the 23rd week and counting… Mr. Sahadi has abandoned our project despite being paid in full.   He will not answer or return calls or texts.  No workers have been onsite in our apartment for over a month.   

To make matters worse, we found out only after our own investigation that the slider door we paid for was never ordered, despite repeated LIES over the course of MONTHS to contrary.   The same for our shower door/ shower shelves and vent covers.   We paid to have our tub re-glazed only to discover it was PAINTED not glazed.

One of cabinet doors installed by his incompetent employees fell off.   We have been left with cabinet doors installed in the incorrect position rendering them unusable.   We have a kitchen light hanging from a wire in the ceiling… our bathrooms remain without towel bars.  The items that were actually completed were done very poorly.  We have paint and grout slops all over both bathroom and kitchen floors.   

Mr. Sahadi has proven himself to be shockingly incompetent and a shady thief and liar.  Do not hire this fraud or his company.  We trusted him and he stole our money and left us with a mess.
