Rodeo Ford Of Plano Deposited a post dated check a week and a half before they were supposed to and took my new truck away because the finince company didnt know. Failuer on the Sales and finance managers part. Plano Texas
I went to purchase a used dodge truck from Rodeo Ford Plano. The sales man asked if I could pay 500$. I told them I couldn't pay that right away and the salesman said they would take a post dated check. I gave them a postdated check for 500$ on 7/26/08. The check was dated for 8/11/08.
2 days after I left the dealership with the truck, they decided to push the check through my bank. We had a verbal agreement about the post dated check and they still sent it in as soon as they could. They called me back and demanded an extra 2000$ because the check bounced. I told them I didn't have 2000$ and they said they could not let me keep the truck that I have had for 2 weeks.
I asked for my old vehicle back and they brought it back to me. I was under the assumption that a contract was already signed, and that they were paying attention that the check was post dated. It has caused overdraft fees in my account and I am totally embarrassed about the whole thing. They also were supposed to pay off my vehicle that I traded in and they stalled for so long that now I am late on my payment on it. They breached our verbal agreement on the check and they also didn't have it for me when I asked for it. I got totally screwed...
